For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 21/03/2009 12:29

I have to do nit combing. AGAIN.

SuperBunny · 21/03/2009 13:07

I hadn't noticed about short people on bopoks being the funny or bad characters but you are right . I miss zippi too.

LR, hope DD is much better. sounds grim.

Franny - do Nigella's Easter nest for DS1. It is the easiest cake ever and is delicious. You just make a chocolate cake (I think it might be a flourless one), whip some cream and mix with melted chocolate then throw eggs on top. The best thing is that the middle of the cake is meant to sink. Honestly, everyone 'Ooooos' and 'aaaaahs' when I make it.

Gorgeous pictures, Toot.

littlerach · 21/03/2009 13:23

well she seems fine, if a little tired.

She has had oven chips for lunch as we have No Food and No Car as dh is away today and I have been working all week so no food shopping done.

Our garden is full of washing which I will sniff later.

I am feeling okay, no sick yet.....

womblingalong · 21/03/2009 14:23

Hello all,

Stuffit I haven't forgotton you, just need to remind my sis, I will join the Short Shrift campaign being v diminutive myself. owever, not cute short, just short and squat.

Franny DS birthday is Easter Saturday too, snap!

DC's causing havoc in garden, me listening to Monsoon wedding and cleaning while thinking of you being disturbed by wedding processions/festivities every day Stuffit.

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 14:41

his actual birthday is good friday this year - he was also born on good friday

the cake is going to be tricky as i think i have to try and do an egg free one
this may be abandoned depending on how i get on
i usually use ground linseeds instead of egg but we also have nut allergy sufferer so not sure about that
she can have pasteurised egg strangely! but then another child is vegan for health reasons, so all a bit complicated
i like the idea of a cake that sinks on purpose i may claim mine are all that way in future

I'll award a sticker to you Franny, If I get one too for 3 mile run and 5 mile brisk walk today.

womblingalong · 21/03/2009 14:47

That smmothie sounds above and beyond the call of duty Franny, have a extra special 'good work' sticker, but don't let Pink see [shh]

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 14:47

we'll get in bother wombling if we are awarding unauthorised stickers you know
the sticker cupboard has been booby trapped i believe

can't remember if i told about my saddo complaint letter to green and blacks
i found "a hard object" in one of their cereal bars and i must admit i thought ker-ching
apparently it is "a hardened piece of pumpkin seed" and they consider it to deserve 15 smackers worth of compensation
yum

womblingalong · 21/03/2009 15:15

Guadalupe · 21/03/2009 15:52

Oooh, a snake, how exciting!

I got seven pounds worth of Walls vouchers once for a screw in a pzazz lolly.

womblingalong · 21/03/2009 15:55

Guad I had to read that a few times to make sure I understood what you meant!

stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 16:04

lol Guad that is very good
you must have been storing that up for years

well it's half time in the football so I am allowed back on

the snake was a baby one and while I was faffing about and I am sorry to say squealing what to do what to do -- my husband pulled the flush

oh womble the fireworks are lessening now but it was odd..as the wedding season drew to a close the auspicious times seemed to get weirder and weirder ..like 6am

so you me and Toot
we will stand up for our rights
on stepladders if necessary

stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 16:06

Franny congratulations on chocolate windfall

I've just given away my last box of green and blacks organic

Guadalupe · 21/03/2009 16:08

Storing what up? We spent it straight away on some arctic roll and a box of fabs iirc.

Guadalupe · 21/03/2009 16:10

Oh, I see.

I don't think I have ever used it in that context. Sounds painful.

littlerach · 21/03/2009 16:24

An ex colleague got 5 huge boxes of Walkers crisps as she found a hairnet in a bag of crisps

A real snake?

More details plesae

SuperBunny · 21/03/2009 16:40

Franny, I have a v good and easy vegan chocolate cake recipe if you need it.

I can't believe stuffit's DH flushed a snake down the loo. I am not sure what one should do with it but

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 17:00

bunny yes please. it has to be nut free also - and banana free, possibly some other things too

i heard a story about someone who got an entire trolley load of shopping free because he found a condom in his packet of cornflakes
when he got back home his flatmates told him they had put it there to annoy him
he turned round and took all shopping back again
in the story he was very annoying moralistic type person but with hindsight of 20 years he actually comes out of it better than the flatmates!
