For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I forgot, it is in US measures. It is from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. It is really good and everyone seems surprised that they are egg and dairy free (and non bananas or nuts either)

Makes 12 cupcakes, 1 loaf or 1 round cake.

1 c milk (any kind - I use soya)
1 tsp vinegar (red wine/ apple cider but I think I used balsamic)
¾ c white sugar
1/3 c canola
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour
1/3 c cocoa
¾ tsp bicarb of soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350/ Gas 4/ 180

Whisk milk & vinegar, leave to curdle for 5 mins or so
Add sugar, oil & vanilla, beat til foamy
Sift dry stuff
Add in two batches to wet ingredients til mixed
Pour into tin
Cook.

What is problem with neighbourhood boy?

I helped a conservation group in my local park this morning. It is a huge park designed by the man who did Central Park in NY and has an arboretum and nature reserve - I didn't know that existed til 3 weeks ago, despite having lived at the edge of the park for over 4 years I led a group doing some litter picking and the place was full of condoms

I got £5 and a slightly sceptical letter for a long black hair enbedded in a block of pretend cheese. I feel almost insulted.

TooTicky · 21/03/2009 17:52

I have haircut photos but am so damnably ugly not sure I can bear to put one on.

littlerach · 21/03/2009 17:58

Put it on TooT.
Ugly? You are lovely looking.

SuperBunny · 21/03/2009 18:06

Oh, I am babysitting tonight for my friend & her 3 yr old is autistic. We see each other every week at playgroup and spent xmas day together but I have never been alone with her DD. Last night, she emailed a 4 page document about what to do. And today, she has emailed to say, "DD napped this morning so will probably not be ready to sleep until 10 tonight"

I was going to use the peace and quiet to read The Book. I think my plan is scuppered.

After last nights 'I'll show you yours, if you show me mine' I have put pictures of Baby Lemur on my profile (I think). If you can't see them, let me know.

Another beautiful day, and some more hanging out of laundry, and dry laundry sniffing was done!
