For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

yes

TooTicky · 20/03/2009 22:39

Well, Stuffit and SB, dd2 is fascinated by the time differences and wants to know when you eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner, what time you go to bed, and - most importantly - whether you brush your teeth. She was most dubious about this and had no faith in my answers

stuffitllama · 20/03/2009 22:43

I like a questioner
she will go far

yes I do scrape my fangs, I do it at 2 am your time and 5 pm your time plus a whole lot of random times in between

SB's time difference to me is fantastic..a whole day. Sometimes it feels like it is a different time, as opposed to just a different invented zone. Even odder to think that while I have insomnia due to mosquito whine, bunny is probably having a daytime nap.

btw did you get to the bottom of your thing Bunny

TooTicky · 20/03/2009 23:04

ooh thank you, I will tell her in the morning.

TooTicky · 20/03/2009 23:07

Dd2 wants "the whole wild world" for her birthday.
When asked where she would keep it, she replied confidently, "In baskets and drawers."
She also wants a real octopus. Thank heavens we have over three months to think about it.

stuffitllama · 20/03/2009 23:19

lolol

"in baskets and drawers"

lol

SuperBunny · 20/03/2009 23:37

Did not get to the bottom of my sleep thing, Stuffit but it's a bit better, thanks.

I do brush my teeth. Every morning and night - so about 2pm and 4am your time.

TooTicky · 20/03/2009 23:39

Thank you SB. She will be relieved, then look serious and ask another question.

fantastic cake FK!!

Fantastic children Franny!

Missed your sleepy childre Toot.

I will have to put some ictures on my profile I suppose. All mine disappeared. I want to put one on of my little-gangster. And a rare one of me looking quite nice.

Went to see martin carthy and Dave Swarbrick last night (folk legends) Was fantastic. Real ale has upset my stomach though

mollyroger · 21/03/2009 09:18

oh and stuffit, I would like to befirend you on FB. Have sent a thingy.

littlerach · 21/03/2009 10:02

Well Dd2 has been sick in the night and my sickness panic wasn't too bad.
Bless her, she compleine dof feeling ill before bed and went clutching her bin.
Then 9.30pm she was sick, all over, so had to strip everything off.
Then again at 10pm, in the loo.
And at 11pm, dry retching, which upset her the most
In between she was v amusing in that small child up too late way.

This morning she is a bit hot, but has eaten toast.

I am rather freaked out that I maight catch it. And that it will be tomorrow when I ma on way ot family gathering.

Anyon eknow how long it takes to know if I iwll have caught it?

Dd1 slept through the whole thing

So I have 3 loads of washing for today, including a duvet.

At least it is sunny.

stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 10:05

Molly have sent you a message.

I feel I have been belittled today for being short and blonde. Details are dull but I'd had no sleep and it BOTHERED ME. I am a big campaigner against short people being looked down on (hur hur grinds teeth). I have to point out to children in books about the comedians and villains being "squat", "a mean little man" etc etc while the heroes are usually tall, or "not tall, but above average height". Think I'm a bore about this.

If only eggs were vegetables.

Sleeping vibes to Bunny.

I miss Zippi and her lolling sometimes. Hope she is ok.

stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 10:08

In fact look at my use of belittled! It's built into the language bugger it.

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 10:08

stuffit kind of like this

fk the cake is brilliant
[cake fear again]
i have organised a party venue for ds1 where they are going to do the food
however they say "i expect you want to do the cake" [bother]

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 10:11

ooh messages while i was reading

rach you won't get it
keep washing your hands (I mean a normalish amount not an every 5 minutes amount)

stuffit sorry to hear that, how annoying

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 10:43

oh nice did you ask for it?
ds2 has one of those
he is very funny in it

franny: volcano cake
pile up cake (lumps of cut cake/fairy cake/shop cake if you can bear it)
smother with chocolate butter icing (oh dear -- can you)
and stick orange (tartrazine?) smarties and maltesers down the side for boulders and lava
candles sticking out of the side
and get loads of sparklers for the top

to an adult it looks like an explosion of incompetence.. to a child it looks like and

pinkspottywellies · 21/03/2009 10:58

FK the cake's amazing!

Read earlier and have forgotten everything so whatever else I should say that's appropriate!

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 11:04

god that volcano cake sounds superb!
his party is easter saturday so i thought an ordinary cake with chicks and chocolate eggs stuck on? dull to us maybe but hopefully thrillingly new to ds1 and also EASY

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 11:06

clag chocolate shredded wheat all over cake and shape into nest thing at the top? so like a giant nest? or will it look dreadful unless done well? probably neat little eggs and chicks will be harder to screw up

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 21/03/2009 11:15

that will be great
also the word clag is excellent

you don't even need to make the chocolate eggs

but I'm sure there is such a thing as easter sparklers

FrannyandZooey · 21/03/2009 11:37

i am with you on the sparklers
i think if i get away without doing some kind of crucifixion linked cake that will be a result
we are not christians but ds has picked story up from somewhere and made a huge cross with coloured tape on our driveway this week
me: what's that?
ds1: it's what god got stuck on
me: WHAT?

TooTicky · 21/03/2009 12:01

molly, I didn't have your new name in my mates list. I do now so you can seeee.

Stuffit, I'd not thought about things like that. You could start a campaign society and call it Short Shrift.

SenorToucan · 21/03/2009 12:04

my rl mate finbar is reading THE BOOK ATM
