For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OMG, how can you make cakes and not eat them?

Owen Wilson is oddly attractive. He shouldn't be, but he is.

Mangolassi - go easy on the yoga, does your instructor know you are with child?

Guadalupe · 12/03/2009 12:56

Resolve, or desperation maybe.

mollyroger · 12/03/2009 15:05

Ah., That's a more organised version of what I do already with my rhubarb Guad. I make a syrup from the rhubabar and serve with iced vodka and a splash of ginger ale.

OsmosisBanana · 12/03/2009 15:11

Hi,

Hope all are well. I'm gonna jump ship for a while, life is just too.... uh..... y'know... life-ish at the moment and things Are Being Neglected. Such as my sex life. And my degree.

I will be back no doubt, probably later this evening in fact but if I lay out my intentions I may better stick to them.

BioChem wasn't as hard as normal today - I must capitalise on this micro spurt of brain power.

See ya fruity bitches.

OWEN WILSON!!! ..I worry about you lot I really do.
now here is a MAN!!!

Nope. I couldn't make cakes and not eat them either......ESPECIALLY lemon drizzle cake.

I am going to make a rich fruit cake as it is apparently loaded with iron...

I did a bit of a run and felt a bit better. Sun is nice, and I vmight have the dayv off tomorrow but don't tell my customers, they find out and bring me work. lol

I have gone off food cheese.

did have lovely soup in my favourite cafe, which has sofas and you can stay for aaaages and read a book.

Guadalupe · 12/03/2009 16:33

What, no schnapps?!

Molly that sounds nice too, I like ginger ale. This jar is as much about aesthetic pleasure as a taste one though. I sigh whenever I look at it.

Making fruitcake makes my arms ache, Atilla much stiffer to mix. I did eat a tiny bit of cream off my finger.

Tatties · 12/03/2009 17:13

Oh I have had a trying day today

Atilla your cafe sounds nice

SuperBunny · 12/03/2009 17:46

Boco · 12/03/2009 18:08

Lol at cat news! Glad his set back wasn't a set back. Did you write one of the reviews then?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/03/2009 18:16

We had a cat who used to follow us to school and come into the classroom. He was well known in our village. He lived until he was 18.

dried fruit
OJ
cauliflower x2
green beans

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/03/2009 18:21

Oh, and I haven't written a review. I haven't even started it yet, I will do once I have finished the yawn fest that is Cold Comfort Farm. Roll on tomorrows book club.

mollyroger · 12/03/2009 18:30

I LOVE CCF. But then I also love the type of books which spawned it.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/03/2009 18:54

Tell me more Molly. I just don't get it. I like to think I've got a sense of humour, but I don't find CCF funny at all. What am I missing?

Boco · 12/03/2009 18:54

I love CCF too, it's like living round here. I found it very funny.

FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2009 19:04

another ccf fan here
does it correlate with liking owen wilson?
just wondering

i LOVED cat news

see you OB, hope all goes well

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/03/2009 19:11

Yes but WHY do you like CCF? Tell me, tell me. I feel like I'm missing something.

Maybe dh is right, maybe I am vacuous

It's the first book I have read that actually sends me to sleep. That's why it's taking me so long to read.

FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2009 19:17

you're not at all vacuous! did dh really say that?

erm, it's a parody, really, isn't it? i don't know - i am not very clever at explaining these things - but the situations and characters are exaggerated and usually ridiculous

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2009 19:21

look does this help?

lol the clettering stick! did that not raise a smile? when he dances with joy at the little brush and then won't use it as it is too nice to spoil?

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 12/03/2009 19:26

Oh no! Franny has gone to the no-dairy-dark-side

Wombling glad you're getting good advice and hope dd gets happier soon.

100x I've finished it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to lend it to my sister now. The end was a little different to what I was expecting. I thought it was fab though and felt oddly proud given that I've never met you or anything!! When's your next one out?

Rhubarb schnapps sounds good!!

Oh no Boco. I thought the life acquatic was dreadful. A bit storyless like Lost in Translation.

Cat made me

I've had my hair done today
