For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lullabyloo · 08/02/2009 14:19

Oh poor you avi migraines are just so awful
hope you're feeling a bit better.Mine are far less frequent since I've made an effort to gulp more water.

It was a beautiful crisp sunny morning at Knole & ds & I walked for nearly two hours in the sparkly snow with a big basket of carrots, apple & lettuce for the deers.
I got some beautiful pictures of them greedily nuzzling ds & him beaming away at his popularity.

We had granola & stewed fruit & yoghurt
& blueberry pancakes
& apple & carrot juice for breakfast & defrosted reading papers & ds played with a gorgeous dalmation pup.

apple
chickpea,tomato,rocket,roasted pepper,spring onion salad

I have to make ds an alien costume by Wednesday
any ingenious & easy ideas anyone?

Lullabyloo · 08/02/2009 14:20

lol at guad enough
& mmmmm to plum crumble

MamaG · 08/02/2009 14:22

Raisins
mushrooms
tomatoes x 2 portions
a chili pepper (??)

Bit crap. Intend to have peppers, onions, more toms, more mushrooms with dinner and I'll squeeze a bit of fruit in.

Hang on, I had carrot cake slice (home made natch) - can I count any of that?

If we can, I should also be able to count some ofthe edgy malt loaf I had

Exercise - crap. We are having PJ day and I don't do Wii type things . I have been crawling around on the floor with ohme made playdough for an hour

mollyroger · 08/02/2009 14:35

gah. Can't keep up.
hello hello.
Popcorn
Onion (in cheee and onion toastie)
carrots, red pepper, cucumber, mange touts

Caramilsed onion, tomato (on pizza)

Apple juice.
hmm.

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 14:36

Bowl of veg stew

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 14:37

Oh Lully, I have deer envy!!
Will think on the costume.

mollyroger · 08/02/2009 14:41

bubble wrap sprayed silver makes great alien/space type sleeves by the way, attacthed to white tunic? Paint his lil' face green with an extra eye in his forehead

Lullabyloo · 08/02/2009 14:45

molly you are a costume genius
tho ds has to last the whole day in this outfit & facepaint makes him itch terribly until he's just left with a smeary face!

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 14:49

you can get natural facepaints, have you tried those?

That Molly is a clever lass.

Lullabyloo · 08/02/2009 15:03

yes I have some Toot but ds still scratches

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 15:17

Ah. Would he manage a mask? Or just nothing on his face maybe. A strap-on extra eye?
