It Ain't Nece-celery So - 10 / 10 thread - with new ADDED FOCUS

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 06:05

Where's all the FOCUS on getting up early then, eh? Do I hav it all? If you got up earlier you would have more time to eat f&v and exercise.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/02/2009 07:37

franny - my advice would be, contact your friend one more time. If he doesn't get back in-touch, leave it be. This way, if your friendship blooms again - good times. If it doesn't - bad times, but you are safe in the knowledge that you tried that one last time. No regrets and all that.

And hurrah for your ds sitting on his own. I adore that stage too. they're still a baby but they have a whiff of independance about them.

I love ADDED FOCUS bit in the title. I'm hoping it will rub off on ds as he keeps fannying about at the breast at the moment. Hald feeding, half whirling his arms and legs around like a mad man. I keep hissing focus focus at him, but he doesn't seem to be paying any attention.

Yesterdays list:

banana x2
grapefruit (2)
OJ
mushrooms/onions/peppers/sweetcorn/toms (1-2)
beans

Oh, and you do know that I will suggest my song title EVERYTIME we are due a new one until it is used, don't you?!

And sorry about the car LR. What a complete pita.

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 07:45

Oh Lemur, what was your title?

I wonder if your ds's first word will be focus...

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/02/2009 08:00

I hate to be in danger of repeating myself . However

there was something in the pear that night, the starfruits were bright, Fernando.

TooTicky · 08/02/2009 08:02

Fermango maybe? Yes, it's good!
I shall shout for it to be next.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/02/2009 08:20
