For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

It's a 40's party thing, where the men will all be dressed as sailors.

ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:52

Fucking hell. You've both lost it. That's weird.

BBBee · 09/02/2009 20:55

oh boco it will be fun - you will be laughing and have stockings.

oh gosh - will you have peacock feathers? I think guad will and cigarette holders.

oh gosh it will be like a LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY

FrannyandZooey · 09/02/2009 20:55

It WILL be live action role play. We will flirt with sailors because of our poor babysitting dps. And we'll do speeded up walking and speak in a slightly clipped way and say to the sailors 'Hello. Are you an Americorn?'

FrayedKnot · 09/02/2009 20:59

I can;t catch up you are indeed all on veg speed. Stop chattering so much.

NOT LONG NOW PINK!

Oops didn;t mean to shout.

OK focus:

Stewed apple & rhubarb
Grated carrot & sultanas
Grapes
Dhal with tomatoes
Cauliflower, celery, red peppers & peas in a veg curry

No plans here for Valentines. When DH asked a few days ago I was in a bad mood and said I couldn;t be bothered to celebrate it

Then I saw all the rather delightful chocolates on display in Waitrose and wished I hadn;t.

ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 20:59

Jeez.

FrayedKnot · 09/02/2009 21:01

I am also very

ahundredtimes · 09/02/2009 21:06

Yes, me too. That's why I;m being mean. It's because Im jealous. Is it like a singles role play night then?

TooTicky · 09/02/2009 21:08

Ooh, is 100x being mean?

TooTicky · 09/02/2009 21:11

Oh, too much to read again. Was there anything very important/amusing?

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:14

eh, what are you on about?

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:17

lolol at us spending valentines together, I hadn't thought of it that way.

Massive dearth of tickets about. People were begging at the school today. There are shout outs for spare tickets on facebook it's so bloody popular. It's going to be HEAVING. With sailors, lol.

It's alright for BOCO. She has a dress.

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:18

Enigma was on tv last night. I tried to take note of the hairstyles but they were a bit frumpy.

TooTicky · 09/02/2009 21:23

Where are you going Guad?

Boco · 09/02/2009 21:30

No it's not really singles role play night. We thought we were all going, and some friends in the village too. But no tickets. But Guad has one spare and dp said go. He sadly took off his sailors hat. Actually I think he was secretly relieved because I was trying to get him to go Gaultier sailor camp and he was feeling challenged.

FrayedKnot · 09/02/2009 21:34

You are distracting me from doing things I should be doing.

Like booking restaurants and finding a magician for DS' birthday party.

Instead I am googling men in tight t-shirts.

every gal loves a sailor

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:35

Dh wasn't seceretly relieved at all. When I said it was sold out and there were no tickets he said 'oh no, I'm sorry' in that way that really means thank fuck for that.

Boco · 09/02/2009 21:36

Lol that's the look i was trying to get him to go for, I had one of my white t-shirts, and we got a hat like that, was just trousers a problem.

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:42

I hadn't even thought of his outit. Haven't organised my own. I want a red dress, with seamed stockings and pearls. There's nothing on ebay either.

Lettuce
tomatoes#]
orange juice
dates
banana
carrots
parsnips
orange
maltesers

I had my last driving lesson this evening. He thinks I should go and see an optician.

Boco · 09/02/2009 21:45

Optician? That doesn't sound good Guad, what did you do to make him think that?

I have pearls to wear. No stockings though. I've located red peep toe high heels.

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:48

I said I can't see.

Guadalupe · 09/02/2009 21:51

You have the whole bloody outfit! Seamed tights in primark.

Toot - it's a swing night and everyone dresses up. Sounds odd but is a great laugh apparently. I've never been. Well, I've been to the venue, my graduation ball was there but that was 50's themed.
