For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

morning all

attila we went on a home ed event recently and i met a girl who knitted bags
she was about 10 and could barely read but had made all her own clothes
i was quite impressed but thought the LEA would probably be less so

anyway
grey day here
not much happening
i do wish my children would synchronise their sleeping

Oh I was a bit like that at 10, but I could read. Didn't make all my own clothes but some very impressive cathy and heathcliffe style dresses!

The benefits of growing up with out a television I guess.

We used to read shakespeare and all have two or three chracters each....even the tragedies were hilarious.

DS is pulling a sicky so I am in evil Mummy mode and he is staying in bed ALL day. He will beg to go to school tomorrow......

Morning!! We've had more snow. I'm a bit hacked off with it now

Should be at the dentist this morning but giving it a miss.

DD just saw the baby gym drying on the 'radioator' and said 'it's for baby brother'

Apple juice, satsuma, half banana.

Trying to go online to do food shop but can't get logged in. I didn't shop last week and ran everything down but it's getting a bit silly now

right my FOCUS for the day is to drink more water
oh and to get my exercise in
i am doing ok on everything else but not drinking enough water
i know you all too well to think that i can get away with telling you the physical consequences of this

Franny....try drinking it slightly warmed for this time of year........I find it daunting drinking cold water at this time of year.

Yes,I drink ot water most ofthe day.
But it does make you need the loo, a lot!
