For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/01/2009 19:12

Maybe the name carrot crunchers is very apt then

Ah yes, I have a friend in Letchworth and she gets the Anglia news.

FrannyandZooey · 26/01/2009 19:13

i didn't realise not letting them poo was a prerequisite for being good at looking after babies

will you look after ds2, boco?

FrannyandZooey · 26/01/2009 19:14

i am south from boco and guad is north
we form a little vegger triangle

Boco · 26/01/2009 19:14

Yes it is. If he had done a poo I may have cried, and then it wouldn't have gone so well.

SuperBunny · 26/01/2009 19:16

Hurrah for no poos

My DS has taken all his clothes off. Again.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/01/2009 19:19

I know where you mean. Years ago some friends stayed at a cottage hospital there after having their babies. I was born in London and moved when I was very young to the Suffolk/Essex border. I've been slowly making my way north up the county over the years. I heart Suffolk.

I haven't seen the YouTube clip. Strangely enough I have lived in Suffolk pretty much all of my life but I don't have a Suffolk accent. I'm not quite sure why, maybe because my parents don't?

Boco · 26/01/2009 19:19

Franny, I thought of you today. I saw friends who were at that wonderful wood place we went to with the wolf man drinking from the horn. The dh and bought friend a large green man carving. It looks suspiciously like a bearded man peeking out from a fanjo. I pointed it out without thinking and she said that yes, she'd been battling with that image too.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/01/2009 19:21

I am trying to think of a fruit or veg that is a triangle shape to come up with an analogy, but I am failing miserably.....

Korma sounds good, yum yum.

Boco · 26/01/2009 19:22

TigerFeet · 26/01/2009 19:27

Is the vegger triangle like the Bermuda triange? [fear]

TooT, TWF, you both sound in need of a cuddle. Have one from me, I am soft and squishy and do good comforting hugs.

Happy birthday Tatties, hope you're having fun

Not online much atm, it's all a bit taxing [idle]

Much veggy love to all x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 26/01/2009 19:29

mollyroger · 26/01/2009 19:35

erm, one slice melon, pineapple, salady fillings from sandwiches at crap meeting lunch. Dinner has onion, leek, mushrooms, parsnip in and served with peas/cabbage. OJ.

Lordy I'd forgotton how hard it is to entertain one child. ds1 is away today and ds2 has just put me throguh the longest 3 hours of my life ''let's play monolpoly'' ''let's bake'' ''let's ask each other history questions..''

Was that a surprise to you, Toot?

I mean, had you suspected it or were you taken aback? The mental questionaires are weird aren't they, there's not much middle ground. I remember them asking things like, do you wake up happy or sad? It all seemed too simplistic.

Right, quite a good veg day

Are we an equilateral or isosceles?

red cabbage
onion
carrot
apple
kiwi
spinach
pepper
mushroom
courgette
pear
cherries

I am sending the clip to my mate in deepest Aylsham.

TooT, I'm so glad you went and they've told you what's happening. I hope you cna relax a bit tonight?

Feather, take it easy how horrible that you had a reaction to the drugs. You must tell your GP if you haven;t already.

Happy anniversary Pink! Enjoy your takeaway.

I am pleased that my appetite has come back tonight and I made rocket pesto which was extremely good.

I also realized today that not everyone in the world knows what a yurt is.

Lol at entertaining one child, MR Hope DS1 is enjoying the trip - will you be in contact while he is away?

FrayedKnot · 26/01/2009 20:28
