For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

My Tv does not WORK properly. Is not fair.

pollycazalet · 29/01/2009 11:14

Breakfast fruit FAIL this am - just can't face it. Am going to try grated apple on porridge tomorrow.

Yesterday's veggie haul:
Lentils
Kidney beans
Butter beans
Tomatoes
Carrots
mushrooms
spinach
courgette

Hideous morning - cat had sprayed so much cleaning. Had a row with DS. Trying to do some work but am freezing - wrapped in a blanket. I want a hot cup of tea and Boco's teacakes.

Poor you pink. I do remember that tiredness. Books, tv and storytapes saved me when I was pregnant with a toddler.

BBBee · 29/01/2009 11:19

I am supposed to be writing something but have procrastinated all morning.

and i haven't eaten any fruit.

oh dear.

I would like to come to your house boco but it would take me 2hours to drive there.

pats and bacon cheese --marmalade sandwiches all round.

Boco · 29/01/2009 12:06

Yes, that is a long time.

And don't go to the other place, there'd be no point.

TooTicky · 29/01/2009 13:16

Just passing through really, am borrowing a small screaming person and must take her out for a walk sleep.

But Pink - if there is ANYTHING any one of us could do then please say. I am sending lots and lots of hugs.

ds1 never eats anything else

dp just wrote me a very good email saying "Nobody is happy all the time or never gets spots or looks a bit rough. It does not mean they should be taken into care."

Guadalupe · 29/01/2009 14:37

except for the twatty cd compilations

anyway i think he does well to put up with me

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/01/2009 15:11

Oh no Guad. I've stopped buying stuff online for now as so many companies are going under. I've also spent all my vouchers I got for Christmas, incase the shops go belly up. I hate to be like that and I know an attitude like that can perpetuate things going pear shaped, but I alos don't want to be caught out.

Tell me more about the Slovakian pharms. Have they got weird and illegal things in them?

What am I doing here? MIL has taken the boy out for a walk and I'm supposed to be cleaning up the house as I'm hosting a coffee morning tomorrow. Oh God. Think of me tomorrow with a house full of babies and toddlers

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/01/2009 15:12

Oh, and Kevin is the presenter of Grand Designs. He is curiously attractive. I hope to watch last nights episode tonight. DH and I will sit there tutting and guffawing at the people's comments and choices

SuperBunny · 29/01/2009 15:22

Toot, the 2 + 2 was dded onto my earlier five, making nine altogether.

Pink, hope you have a peaceful afternoon. Sorry you are feeling so up and down.

Raisins.

Tatties · 29/01/2009 15:34

Hello all

Franny, dp is right. And maybe things look worse to you? I know how you feel though. Photos gorgeous as ever I love the brown/orange thing ds2 is wearing, is it ladybirds on it?

(((Pink))) Tell dh what he can do to help you. Sometimes it needs to be spelled out unfortunately

How are you doing TooT?

TF I love 'fertiged'

TigerFeet · 29/01/2009 15:51

Lovely veggers I could do with your help here Tatties you might like to avoid, it's about hyperemesis.

I love your dp's email Fran. DD fell and scraped her face from nose to chin not so long ago and looked swollen and battered for ages . I really worried about what people might think but realised how daft that was when dd's friend made a bigger mess of her face recently and I realised that no-one thinks badly of a parent because their child looks a bit scabby, it's all part of being a child.

littlerach · 29/01/2009 15:59

hav eposted for yuo TF. But no advice.

WEll I have made 30 fairy cakes, and iced.

Guadalupe · 29/01/2009 16:06

Your typos made me laugh there, little rach. I like the sound of spoonges.

littlerach · 29/01/2009 16:11

oops!

I am terrible at typing, aren't I?

And much of my work is typing

I have long nails and am fast (ish) is my excuse

I once email me friend at her work re taking wellies ot her house, and mis typed and was wIllies

FrannyandZooey · 29/01/2009 16:43

is 'fertiged' related to 'fatigued'?
i also like etymology toot

tatties thank you. the ladybird top is from the swedish equivalent of primark all the baby clothes out there are funky like that. mrs c bought us 2 tops from the swedish equivalent of, say, monsoon and they were SO cool.

great vegger vibes to Pink and TigerFeet
being pg is so wonderful when it is all going well and the absolute PITS when it isn't
