For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Afternoon

I missed most of Grand Designs because my Mum rang, but saw end result. It was cavernous, wasn;t it? And why did they say they could shut the big prison like bedroom door to shut out the sound of babies crying or something? Weirdies.

So far...2 kiwi, pitta with an avocado, goats cheese and homemade rocket pesto (a great combo if anyone is interested).

Supper...am planning to make a Moroccan pizza. If you can imagine such a thing. I have a recipe

And a big chickpea salad to go with.

Pink, have a big manly pat on the back from me also

TooT have you eaten today? How's DD2?

daisy99divine · 29/01/2009 16:44

Diving in for a quick chat and catch up and big hugs all round
sorry yurty fruity people are feeling rough

Pink have you got the Spatone? It will get better, and hang on to any help you can get - what can we do?

TWF missed some goings on I think but happy lurking and come back soon

TooT hope you got on ok at dr on Monday and are feeling ok

TF I replied on other thread for you - congrats on being preg by the way

All busy in RL here, trying with the 10 - doing pants on eating but better on exercise, off for a swim now and busy at work

Franny love the Mango ever learn title - go go go!

daisy99divine · 29/01/2009 16:45

FrannyandZooey · 29/01/2009 16:45

i want a sticker for most pretentious activity of the day
i am speaking to my life coach tonight (100 pretentiousness points) and we are doing an exercise called 'the wheel of life' (bonus 50 points) to establish what my 'core values' are (pretentiousometer hits jackpot, bells ring, coins pour from slot)

MamaG · 29/01/2009 16:53

TigerFeet - congrats I didn't know you were pg!

Pink - hope you feel better soon

Franny - I can't see you for the HUGE heap of coins

MamaG · 29/01/2009 17:02

What do you need to know littlerach? I'm veggie

BabyG is 12 weeks today

Very long boy!

Boco · 29/01/2009 17:10

Franny!
I had a life coach. And I did he wheel of life. And I had to come up with my core values! How very dare you say that is pretentious. [tosses head pretentiously]

Actually I emailed 100x to tell me what my core values were, because I had no idea. She came up with some good ones.

Is it more or less pretentious to get someone you've not actually met in real life to do your life coaching homework for you?

I've got the Spatone and I've had 2 [overdosed smile] when does it kick in?

pinkspottywellies · 29/01/2009 17:40
pollycazalet · 29/01/2009 17:41

hey veggers

at Urchin ceasing to trade. I bought a load of uneccessary tut from there when in full PFB mode with ds. Nice but unecessary.

Have just eaten carrots and hummous and also forced down a few grapes. Tuna lasagne in the oven.

Aviatrix did you post your veggie menu?

Loving the idea of a life coach. i have a date night with dh tonight - what should we do do you think?

DD is sitting on sofa with cats. They are faily new and keep undermining my instructions to 'be careful with them, they're not teddies' by behaving like a couple of big furry soft toys. Not dignified in a cat.

pollycazalet · 29/01/2009 17:44

oh. I LOVED doing baby massage with ds. Went once with DD and found myself sitting opposite an ex and his wife. Massaging together! Poor child. Gave it a miss after that.

BBBee · 29/01/2009 18:11

am excited about core values - I am not sure what mine would be.

what were yours boco? can you share?

tomato sauce with loads of vegetables in
that is all but i have not eaten much else today.

i did some walking.

FrannyandZooey · 29/01/2009 18:32

oh god i thought she would TELL ME what my core values were
oh god where is 100?

pink i really really hope you feel better soon and i haven't just made you waste 10 quid on a box full of metally water [fret]

FrannyandZooey · 29/01/2009 18:34

now have diprobase from doctor
bedroom resembles branch of boots
6th day dairy free
no improvement

pinkspottywellies · 29/01/2009 18:43

Don't worry Fran, it was only £7 and I actually quite liked it (couldn't taste the first one in oj but had 2nd one in smaller amount of water and thought it was quite good)!

Polly how about watching a movie? Are you going out or is it an at home date?

I don't know what my core values are either surely they will lead you to the answers though Fran, whilst not actually telling you?

FairLadyRantALot · 29/01/2009 18:46

hi...am knackered and not sure if I will be able to remember all...because I didn't use my notepad, sigh...

Guad...how annoying about urchin

lol at whos ever mum says fertiged...

(((pink))) you poor thing...spatone should work quick enough

Bbbeee...if you were going to go wrongly to Peterborough...well, ya could alwasy stop off in Corby instead and visit me

well...still feeling rough and had a odd day on my Placement...my Educator isn't there this week and the OT I am going with is lovely, but she sometimes confuses me a bit, and well, my brain wasn't really working today, so, that doesn't help at all...lol...

As for F&V had:
Kiwis (1 1/2 portions)
Grapes (4 1/2 portions)
1 Apple

and that was that really....not as dreadful as I thought originally, but not great neither....

ahundredtimes · 29/01/2009 18:51

I thought Fairlady lived in Switzerland not Corby Wasn't it you who had this thing you pulled your dc along in? A sledge. Have I just made all that up? That's quite worrying, I'm sure you lived in Switzerland. Who lives in Switzerland then?

I am shit hot on core values. I could do every veggers core values for sure I'm going to be the capitialist geeky kid you pay to do your homework for you.

I have eaten again

Apple
banana
loads of seeds like pumpkin, sunflower and hemp or something like that in my muesli.
green beans
carrots
chili - does this count? I'm putting it in anyway
broccoli
One lychee I found behind the kettle

ahundredtimes · 29/01/2009 18:54

Slight emoticon overload there. Apologies.

I like this Ms Cazalet you know. I'd get her cream Franny. She has this air of quiet efficiency about her you know. I bet her cream will work. You should go and see Milk or Rachel's Getting Married at the cinema. Also I have read your family saga Ms Cazalet.

Can't remember what else. Hope Pink is feeling better. Sorry, I'd better go and look again. FairLady - even though she isn't in Switzerland, SHOCKING REVELATION - puts us all to shame.

ahundredtimes · 29/01/2009 18:56

One of Franny's core values is

INTEGRITY

This means she won't want me to tell her what they are, sadly. Boco didn't have that one. She had doing her best for the school though.

SuperBunny · 29/01/2009 18:58

Hello MamaG. What a big boy you have! My DS
didn't weigh that tile he was 15 months.

I need more info on morroccan pizza

My hips hurt & feel sort of, um loose.

I don't have any core values.

Peas, peppers, aforementioned raisins (3)

TigerFeet · 29/01/2009 19:03

Core values makes me think of pilates
