For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

It makes my ankles go funny to think about it.

I am looking even more haggard, I have decided to have an overhaul, I'm actually doing 10/10 rather than just pretending, and am going to do some exercise other than just walking a lot. It's a hard time of year though isn't it. I can't cut down on carbs because I'm also freezing and need them.

TooTicky · 28/01/2009 12:40

LR, tell her she must wobble. Ds1 doesn't like wobbling and has to go to RUH on Friday to have 10 removed
Well, if they still have a bed for him.

I am doing strong-minded things with chickpeas and tomatoes and feeling very guilty because it is me-food. Can't win.

I'm not really here actually.

stuffitllama · 28/01/2009 12:42

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/01/2009 12:48

I missed the Madagascar ref TWF, what was it?

Lychees - the texture, the smell, the taste of them. ALL WRONG. But I do love kiwis. You can buy kiwi spoons so you can scoop them out, can't remember where from. Probably Lakeland.

When my teeth were hanging on by their last threads I used to love twisting them round. Mank!

fryalot · 28/01/2009 12:51

do you lot hear a song that will make a good vegetable reference and take notes?

I can just imagine you all in rl saying "anyone got a pen? that song'll make a FAB thread title..."

Keep up the good work (it's been a while since I told you that, but I do so enjoy these thread titles)

littlerach · 28/01/2009 12:53

TooT, one of her big teeth has started to ocme through above her baby tooth, in the gum.
Is ds1 having baby teeth removed?

Chickpeas and tomatoes?? Tell more.

pollycazalet · 28/01/2009 12:56

And the difference between a kiwi spoon and a teaspoon is........?

Guadalupe · 28/01/2009 12:57

Hello sqonk

We get mixed reviews these days, people take offence at cunt, are silent over the duffer ones but last couple of weeks has been all praise, praise praise.

pollycazalet · 28/01/2009 12:58

I once got rid of two wobbly teeth by eating a Texan bar - anyone remember those?

Mine was toothstudded - had to pick them out.

DD currently has catflap-like wobbly tooth.

Guadalupe · 28/01/2009 12:59

I don't remember texan bars. Am I too young?

fryalot · 28/01/2009 12:59

Boco · 28/01/2009 13:07

stuffitllama · 28/01/2009 13:10

i'm not actually sure what a cassoulet is
cazalet sounds like an Italian dynasty

pollycazalet · 28/01/2009 13:10

I am a fictional character.

I am really on wartime rations.

Guadalupe · 28/01/2009 13:11

Sqonk - They are not all songs, sometimes just an expression of despair. I expect a mango was involved.

I am 31, Polly, but feeling 51 today. I keep thinking there are signs of menopause but could be something else.

You all won't belive this. You know I complained to the surgery about the inappropriate cervical screening letters? They said they'd write to primary health trust and let them know I was unhappy about it.

I just got a letter saying, we have been informed you are no longer eligable for screening so we won't send you any more letters. End of letter. Excuse me? I will have screening just not 'cervical' screening and no aplogy for sending me stupid bloody insensitive non-applicable letters you fuckwits.

Ggggrr, I'm annoyed. Lucky for them they are all out for lunch and I will probably have calmed down in an hour.

stuffitllama · 28/01/2009 13:14

oh you know one hundred things to do with powdered egg then and have a spinach lawn

Guad that's very shite
