For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Done mine and dd's ironing and a bit of DH's. Been doing it sitting down! [lazy]

pinkspottywellies · 20/01/2009 23:58

Where is everyone?

Bunch of lightweights

Hope TooT got a good night sleep and feels better x

SuperBunny · 21/01/2009 01:30

sympathies for teething, LR. Bloody hurts, doesn't it? I had to chew on a spoon

OB, well done I was craving steak at the weekend and spent hours thinking and talking about cooking a nice juicy one, then I went to bed and dreamt about it and the smell woke me uo and made me feel ill.

I have a situation: DS getting undressed to get ready for bed, looks down and says, "If I have sex, my penis will fall off" I asked where he heard that and he said he didn't know. A couple of minutes later I asked who told him that his penis would fall off and he just said, "The sex"

Do I mention this to his father, which is presumably where he heard it? Or contact my lawyer? Or DS's? Or what? When I have been concerned over inappropriate things in the past, DS's attorney just disregards them, saying I am making things up to get at Ds's father. But I don't want my 3 yr old knowing/ hearing/ saying things like that. I feel sick.

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 06:15

Blleeeuurrgh, I have missed half the morning.

FairLady, have emailed you.

Pink, you're not still ironing I hope.....

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 06:22

Oh no SB, I hadn't read your post properly. That is not good. Is there a female attorney-type person [law dunce] that you could tell? Would that make a difference?
Have you had similar issues before?

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 06:44

Don't reply to this post directly because I shall probably regret it and have it deleted and best not to have a trail leading from it although THANK YOU SB for telling me how to protect my passwords.

Just needed to vent slightly.

Dp hasn't changed the clothing on the lower half of his body for about a month. Top half maybe 2 or 3. I know because I do the washing.
I persuaded him to take the children swimming at the weekend, thinking Aha, this will make a difference (he doesn't wash either) and he put the same damn rank stinking clothes on afterwards. The smell is intolerable. He walked past me this morning while I was sitting here and of course my nose was at arse-height and I wasn't holding my breath. It's horrible and I don't like it.

If you want to sympathise, just say you're sorry my fingers got so cold while I was washing up. I shall know what you mean. Although you can sympathise over that too if you want [needy]

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 06:50

[lonely]

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 07:05

Ha ha I have just realised I can't have it deleted because mn will email to say what they have deleted .
My god this just gets funnier and funnier.

OsmosisBanana · 21/01/2009 07:05

having similar issues with cold fingers here TooT.

I am MNing in bed. How decadent

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 07:10

Oh, decadent is good!!! Enjoy...

OsmosisBanana · 21/01/2009 07:13

well, if i get up I will wake the kids up and I don't want to have to be mum yet.

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 07:15

I have one child up who doesn't have to be, one child not up who should be, and two peaceful boys.

OsmosisBanana · 21/01/2009 07:19

Ah yes but your risk factor with so many of the creatures is far greater. I expect it's quite difficult to find a time when someone in your house isn't awake!

TooTicky · 21/01/2009 07:19

yes. Oh god yes!

OsmosisBanana · 21/01/2009 07:29

right, i hear microbeests, mummy hour is upon us.

Have to do at least 4 hours revision today. Nasty.

have a nice day y'all!

TinyWhiteFeather · 21/01/2009 07:32

So sorry your fingers got cold washing up Toot, Have you thought of just using disposible cuttlery and paper plates for a bit?

Ask them NOT to e-mail you Toot.

SB, I definately think you need to seek advice, that is very very . He needs a more positive male role model about such things as his young brain starts to get evermore curious.

TinyWhiteFeather · 21/01/2009 07:33

I am at home all day today (workinh....honest guv) and am so pleased.

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2009 08:39

toot when your fingers get cold what do you do? i mean do you ever say it upsets you?

SB i would definitely tell someone but if they just say you are making it up i don't know what it achieves
maybe make a log of similar incidents and give to attorneys
probably not reassuring but fwiw ds1 occasionally comes up with similar random worrying things and he has never been exposed to anything except normal life, but he does occasionally overhear things he oughtn't and also makes stuff up himself from what he does know about the world

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2009 08:43

avi i am thrilled and scared in equal parts
it is kind of awful to have so much hope and not be sure whether it is going to work out

i thought i would find the ceremony more moving but in retrospect having rocky raccoon playing in the background here was possibly an error
it does rather lack grandeur

FrannyandZooey · 21/01/2009 08:44

Great title Franny
TooT your poor fingers

TinyWhiteFeather · 21/01/2009 08:55

Mmmmmmmm....peace and quiet,

MNing in bed .

Snuggles into pink's empty space in the pit with 2 litre bottle of diet-coke and sets up 'Franny alert system'. Can't speak for nuts in mouth.......

Toot that sounds utterley depressing. Having such cold fingers....

Avi anf frsanny - I know what you mean about fear; the whole world is waiting for what one man can deliver. Can one man live up to that? And what a legacy he's inherited - war and financial crises.

I think I'm addited to bananas.
