For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tiny, I used to be 3andnomore and am a regular of the 10/10thread returning...I just thought there was more going on here that I never knew existed...what with frecent boardevents, etc... I just hate not knowing what is going on, you see!

TigerFeet...we had snow here, but it was pretty pathetic...

Avi...that punjab chicken sounds gorgeous...

SuperBunny...just looked at your profile....and, oddly enough...I again fancy cake....
as for green pepper....How about using it in a pastasauce and blending it down...that way you won't really notice...and the pastasauce than could be frozen !

dooney...as far as I know anything bar pulses will count as whatever many portions you eat of it...i.e. lots of spinach possibly would at least count as 2 portions... but I may not remember correctly!

Osmosis, well done on getting a first in your assignment! I am waiting for a few grades in a few assignments....but I am not holding my breath that I get decent grades, lol...hohum...but at least non of the grades we get this year count, all we have to do is pass...

Anyway, had homemade Pasta Bolognese , made the sauce with Tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions and Mince meat...
got some blue berries in the fridge, that need to be eaten...son, will snack on those later....all in all I think I got about 7-8 portions of f&v...so, am pretty pleased, really ...

Guadalupe · 07/01/2009 21:14

I almost can't believe it has that much of an effect. It tastes so harmless.

I can feel that whoosh in the stomach when I drink it though and I am definitely more edgy atm. Have been stressed with the house though so it's hard to tell.

Guadalupe · 07/01/2009 21:14

Lol, fairlady, I was MrsC.

stuffitllama · 07/01/2009 21:15

Guadalupe · 07/01/2009 21:19

Guadalupe · 07/01/2009 21:21

SB my er... bowels um... loosened somewhat when I stayed at my sisters a little while ago. I think it was to do with coco-pops and hot chocolate and cookies. Rather too much sugar might be what you're looking for

stuffitllama · 07/01/2009 21:24

I don't know why really. I felt fed up with MrsC after my op. I felt mrsc sounded dumpy and blousy with aprons and aftre a hysterctomy I wanted to feel as little like that as possible.

So of course I went with Boco's suggestion of Guadalupe, which is of course, clumpyelegant and non dumpy.

I quite liked plum duff but framny wouldn't have it. She wouldn't call me guad for ages!

TooTicky · 07/01/2009 21:38

Oh dear, and I still call you MrsC. Sorry

I can't be bothered to change again. Anyway, plum duff was taken.

TooTicky · 07/01/2009 21:55

TooTicky · 07/01/2009 21:56
