For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

my radical friend was here with her dc when i was pg and they were all playing "dd has a baby"
i was going "have you called the midwives?" and my friend was shouting "you don't need anyone to birth your baby dd, your body knows what to do"

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 19:37

100 tell about the party

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:38

Which party missus? NYE?

Sorry to hear about your mother F&Z. Have just skimmed last ten posts.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 02/01/2009 19:40

DS is 16 weeks, so he's a got a while before he is weaned, but I want to read up on BLW before the time comes.

I wouldn't be surprised if he weans earlier than 26 weeks tbh. He is a biffa also and has very good muscle tone in his neck and core muscles. Like you mentioned, you need to see what the baby is doing rather than waiting for dead on 26 weeks.

The link was made by me a couple of pages ago.

littlerach · 02/01/2009 19:42

Hi 100.

Fran, dd1 used to play it all thwe itme when i was og with dd2.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:43

Hello LR.

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 19:45

100 yes
did we already hear about it? if so

moveit, ds2 still can't sit steadily but we tried him in highchair today and that gave enough support
i must say it was very entertaining watching him pick up a carrot with great concentration and ds1 was beside himself with excitement

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:47

I can't believe ds2 is sitting in a highchair! You only had him last week. [shakes head] He is extraordinary.

No, you heard about birthday party I think? NYE quiet, little to tell, was nice, sedate, here, lots of children too, v. little inappropriateness. Yawn.

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 19:48

yes he is genius
and he ate an exotic fruit also - is so cultured

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:52

[nods] He will be Fruit Attache to Washington by the end of the year.

TooTicky · 02/01/2009 19:54

TooTicky · 02/01/2009 19:55

Franny, MN will have to start a f&v g&t topic for him

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:56

Hello TooT. Did you have a good Christmas etc? We are alone as of today. Have collapsed.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:56

Not you and me alone, me and mine alone.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 19:57

That does sound very shit, Ob. You have had a lot of bad luck haven't you? I hope it improves.

How worrying about your mum, franny. Hope she gets better soon.

Happy new year, 100x.

TooTicky · 02/01/2009 19:58

Well, it was okay. There is stuff all over the floor.
Actually, that's nothing unusual, but there's more of it.
And we now have Playmobil cutlery to worry about

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:58

Oh dear sorry OB, I've not read thread.

Hello Lupe. Happiness to you too.

TooTicky · 02/01/2009 19:59

Were you overrun with people 100x? I don't think I could do that.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 19:59

Playmobil cutlery sounds v. high maintenance. I found the playmobil rabbits and carrots quite demanding when we had them. The hair and swords somehow less so, but the rabbits. I think they bred.

We have had clear out. Massive clear out. I don't know where all this stuff came from in the first place.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:00

Banana
spring onions
lettuce
mixed berry smoothie
salsa
mixed seeds
leeks
carrots
peppers
mushrooms
alfalfa
spinach
cabbage
ginger
garlic
lychees
strawberries.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:01

No not really TooT, but we did a Grand Tour around the country, and I did all the cooking etc at my mothers, and then we came back here and it was a social whirl and then people came for 3 days over New Year. [looks pale]

Was nice, but now am tired. I find social contact a bit draining, and a bit exciting at the same time.
