For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes, I don't know what we were thinking.

We need a clear out but everybody is unreasonably attached to everything

womblingalong · 02/01/2009 20:01

Oh shit, have just caught up, Osba, that is so crapola, any hope of claiming on the insurance?

Franny, hope that your mum gets better soon. I can't believe DS2 is already almost 6 months old, it feels like I have just blinked, and here he is troughing bananitos!

Stuffit! Hello my dear, how is life in your hot place?

100, how the devil are you?

I have been away from MN, except briefly/lurking here and there for ages, and have been shaking my head in disbelief at all the shenanigans that seem to have gone on around here.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:02

I am fed-up of social contact. I am going to hibernate in January.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:02

al fucking falfa.

Where the borage? Hmm? And the seaweed stuff - what was that called?

That is actually rather an impressive list. [grudgingly]

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:03

I am good thank you Wombling. V. nice to see you. I read the shenanigans threads, well two of them, it took years off me.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:03

Nori. I bought some today actually but haven't eaten it yet.

No borage. I could do with some though. I am feeling hormonally unstable.

womblingalong · 02/01/2009 20:04

Oh TooT, I have stuff here for you that I habve not had time to get in the post - it will be my new years resolution, I promise.

How is DS2's eye?

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:04

Yes, social contact a bit overwhelming. But I keep forgetting to be shy, I keep meaning to be shy, but I get carried away and noisy and then I cringe the next day. My new year's resolution is to be shy, and to make people WORK to draw me out of myself.

[looks out from under fringe]

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:05

Lol, you will not be very good at it.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:06

I will be crap. There will be lip biting and I might have to sit on my hands.

Perhaps I'll do a thread about it, and get some tips.

Everyone will be cross, as I will be underestimating what it is to be shy etc. Might not have the energy.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:06

I am often quiet but I come across as quiet/snooty rather than quiet/shy. Can't think why. Maybe because I have a long nose.

womblingalong · 02/01/2009 20:08

100, I see you as fringeless, not sure why. I imagine you with shiny waves sweeping back from a broad white brow, for some reason.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:08

Perhaps you are serene and self-possessed? I think everyone thinks they are shy don't they? Unless they are dreadful. I do actually think I'm quite shy, but I'm probably not. I might be awkward or I might feel awkward. Perhaps it's that?

I might do a thread after all.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:09

It is a new fringe Wombling, specially designed for my new 'shy look'. Think Diana in the engagement years.

I don't have shiny nothing though, but yes, no fringe.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:10

I look ghastly with fringes. There is a cool girl in the chemist with a very severe fringe and it looks great. It would not suit me though.

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:11

Do you look younger with it?

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:11

I am too old. I would look like the psycho out of No Country For Old Men. Not a good look.

ahundredtimes · 02/01/2009 20:12

It is a PRETEND fringe fgs Lupe!

Hey, now I'm shy I can't say fgs or things in capitals can I? Oh dear.

Yes, I look younger, thank you Lupe, thank you for asking, thank you. yes, yes. [squirms]

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:13

Oh, I liked that film. I wouldn't like that haircut.

Right, despite sitting here serenely I am being summoned for bedtime.

womblingalong · 02/01/2009 20:13

Hello Guad,

How are you? What news on house?

I think quietness can poften be taken for snootiness or standoffishness, It is as if people always jump to the wrong conclusions, rather than thinking people are shy.

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 20:13

i've got a friend who is proper shy and i was convinced she hated me for about 5 years
she comes across v standoffish

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:14

Oh, a PRETEND fringe. Well, have a real one and see if it knocks years off you then you can let me know.

Right, must go.

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 20:14

cross [posts womb;ing
but not smiling or making eye contact is actuaslly quite stand offish isn't it?

i can't do a fringe
it sticks up
i have fringe envy

Guadalupe · 02/01/2009 20:15

Hi woMbling

not speaking of house

I am actually a bit standoffish, lol, not shyness.

Right I AM GONE.

FrannyandZooey · 02/01/2009 20:15

oops wombling
wombing is not pleasant sounding
