For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Smiles. Very interesting and worthwhile thread. I have contributed!

Toddlers Christmas Party today. I have mostly eaten tiffin but imagine it included several portions of raisins I did have half a banana, about half a satsuma and some peanut butter this morning

FrannyandZooey · 05/12/2008 17:34

pinkspottywellies · 05/12/2008 17:37

It's so difficult isn't it Avi and if you love it it feels like they've got you over a barrel Hope it works out.

Go red Franster!

I may have worn a little tie dye and beads on the laces of my dms.

Oh and 2 cherry tomatoes. Got carrots and broccoli on for dinner as well.

FrannyandZooey · 05/12/2008 17:38

can everyone stop talking to avi and shun her please

pinkspottywellies · 05/12/2008 17:38

Is Mr Avi your favourite? Mr Wellies will be disappointed

PrancerDancerCupidFMVixen · 05/12/2008 17:41

ah it's only cos she ain't met Mr Filthy!
(god that sounds wrong)

pinkspottywellies · 05/12/2008 17:46

No moony it sounds so right!!

FrannyandZooey · 05/12/2008 18:01

all the veggie misters are delightful, but avi knows i have a special place in my heart for mr avi

ds1 mentioned him the other day, in fact
he said "when i am grown up i am going to be really tall, taller than (mr avi)."
i said i thought it was a pain to be too tall as you didn't fit in cars, and couldn't get clothes to fit, etc
ds said he didn't care as he would walk everywhere, and only go out when it was hot, wearing pants
words failed me

Your DS is fab, Franny.

My sis and I went for dinner the other night and, half way through the meal, DS suddenly announced in a very loud voice, "OH! I'm doing a GREAT BIG poo!"

Guadalupe · 05/12/2008 18:27

Mr Avi is indeed dashing.

Avi - Have they asked you to pay extra for the plot after your initial agreement, or has someone else offered more and they are letting you get in a bidding war?

I know it's Avi island but you get papers there don't you, and tv, they do know that the housing market is falling?

I know mine is trying to hurry us along rather than thinking he will get more, I think, no-one else could move as fast anyway. I say fast, it's been bloody slow but ykwim.

SuperBunny · 05/12/2008 18:28

I realise that story was totally irrelevant. Sorry

OsmosisBOOnana · 05/12/2008 18:36

hi,

one week left of this term, yay! Obv the tutors live on a different planet as we have been given 2 presentations to be topic decided on and done within a week. LOLOL!!

I kicked ass today, dunno why I was so worried, have realised that entrance standards are perhaps not as high as standards I set myself [really fucking pompous emoticon].

Still, i rest safe in the knowledge that I have the most delicious husband of all and we have been together 8 years today. Ah, love's young dream etc etc.

Just popping in to be smug.

Glad you all seem happier and perkier. From what I have discerned.

DD is rubbing make up into the sofa. Joy.

We are buying the tree this w/e.

Nowt else to report... uh.... I won a Karen Millen tartan mini kilt on ebay fr £2. Is that any good?

FrannyandZooey · 05/12/2008 18:51

hello OB

avi I really can't advise (even in between shunning) as I personally would pay anything I could afford to get the house I wanted
so the questions are really
can you afford it
and how much do you want it

FMF I wanted to say please DO clog up the thread unless you are feeling like you would rather have the conversation privately
I think it would be helpful for some of us to read what people say, anyway, and besides, the thread is for whatever we want to talk about

EXCEPT haribo
