For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

My dinner was lovely, I have bakewell tart for pudding.

Frannny - that is so romantic that he'd already bought you the dress. Awww, bless him. Must he take it back? I guess the bf thing is tricky.

Toot - What's up? Have you recovered from your cold? DD2 seems to be feeding a lot, you must be tired with all the illnesses.

TooTicky · 07/12/2008 20:21

Yes I am quite tired. And cold

Guadalupe · 07/12/2008 20:22

Is your heating on? Or is it a cold cold with shivers..

TooTicky · 07/12/2008 20:27

Heating?
We're using the woodburner this winter but a) I'm in the wrong room and b) I haven't tended it as much as I should this evening.

Boco · 07/12/2008 20:29

I have woodburner disappointment toot, you have to be in front of it to feel warm - if you take three steps backwards it's freezing again.

Franny hooray for your dp! Do the link!

Guad your dinners all sound SO nice.

Guadalupe · 07/12/2008 20:29

Oh. Well, my heating is off and I am in the wrong room. There is a fire downstairs though so I might ask dp for his work laptop. I feel like pottering on the computer this evening. Where is yours, do you sit at a desk?

pinkspottywellies · 07/12/2008 20:30

(yeah yeah it's soya and fair trade )

Guadalupe · 07/12/2008 20:30

Thank you, Boco. I forgot about the almond and apricot stuffing. That was the best bit.
I think I need custard with my bakewell. I cooked and washed up so I reckon it's dh job now.

Boco · 07/12/2008 20:32

We had a roast dinner but it was all pretty standard - I can't describe it in that m&s way that guad can that makes you drool on the keyboard.

TooTicky · 07/12/2008 20:33

Well, if you get it blazing well anbd sustainedly it can be v. effective.

Yes, puter is at desk in the bit opposite the kitchen which is supposed to be a dining room but is actually a mug-printing area.
I dream of a laptop I can take to bed with me.

TooTicky · 07/12/2008 20:34

Thanks Pink

FrannyandZooey · 07/12/2008 20:43

don't know if link will work
if not it is called elita
looks crap on website as their stuff usually does
in rl the pale bits are silver embroidery and the black is nice material not cheap cotton as it looks on there
that style ofdress extremely forgiving on me as it kind of misses out the whole waist area

i have come round to the idea now dp says "i knew you would squeak a bit then after 10 mins decide it is not so bad" LOL
blimey i feel lucky

Guadalupe · 07/12/2008 20:57

Calm down, Mou. You just, click and you're away.

Franny - that is a very nice dress and yes you are lucky. I usually have to be very explicit with dh.

I had to make my own custard. Top gear is on.

Toot - are you by the woodburner yet?

FrayedKnot · 07/12/2008 21:10

Ooh that's lovely Franny

Will you wear something over it or under it?

How often do you tend to be BF during the day now?

I would love a woodburner again

It's my birthday tomorrow and I have discovered Monday is a great day for a birthday because you can stretch the priveledges out over a whole weekend AND anotehr day

Yesterday I had a massage and today had lovely lunch cooked by my Mum. Tomorrow DH and DS are cooking me a surprise supper

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 07/12/2008 21:17

Toot darling (((hugs)))

SuperBunny · 07/12/2008 21:24

I love bakewell tart! I need to make one.

Monsoon is great. But only in the sales.

LOL @ mou!

Happy Bday for tomorrow, FK. Glad you had a lovely weekend.

(((Toot)))

FrayedKnot · 07/12/2008 21:27

TooT what's up?

SmilesLikeNoOther · 07/12/2008 21:29

OK, I've made a start but think I need to lie down now....Thank-you everyone who sent me invites....I actually got quite emotional.

If you wear a 'shrug' or something, will the shoulder strap come down or anything franny?

Worried about Toot.....more{{{{hugs}}}}}lovey.

FrannyandZooey · 07/12/2008 21:43

FK happy birthday! Stretching out for 3 days is a great plan, I like your style
i hope the supper is not TOO surprising

I will wear a cardi thing over it I suppose
I don't think the sleeve will come down even if you undo the zip but I am going to have a ruddy good try

ironically both dp and I have now had to reveal the surprise presents we have got one another
our bathroom is so fucked the bloke suggests us moving out for 4 days or so while we get it fixed [appalled]
so this was the right time to tell dp I had booked a short holiday for his birthday in January

Boco · 07/12/2008 21:50

What's wrong with your bathroom? It's not the Egyptian bathroom is it? Infestation of scarab beetles?

Happy birthday FK for tomorrow!

FrannyandZooey · 07/12/2008 21:53

no sadly the upstairs one is suffering from when dp tried to do the seal round the bath a while back
apparently it was not the most effective job ever and the water has beem leaking under the bath, into the floorboards and up the cavity wall ever since
so we need the bath out and the wall buggered about with etc
it is a bit of a fucker
you SURE no-one wants to buy our car??

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 07/12/2008 22:05

I have availed myself of the Egyptian bathroom

Wildebeest · 07/12/2008 22:12
