For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

And yes, little jackets on Ravelry and maybe a small earflappy hat.

House stuff sounds like a huge pain.

TooTicky · 30/11/2008 20:21

Oh yes, stew (2 portions?) and 5 clementines. I usually leave fruit for dcs but I really needed some.

FrayedKnot · 30/11/2008 20:30

"on the pull" Avi?!

Is any coat suitable for being on the pull?

I went out last night without one - hope I wasn't giving out the wrong signals

FrayedKnot · 30/11/2008 20:32

Although of course if any coat WAS suitbale for pulling in it would surely be Franny's

TooTicky · 30/11/2008 20:34

Yes, very orange and very nice - thanks
A friend of mine had a baby in Sept and I have been a Very Bad Person and not been in touch. Wanted to make something nice

TooTicky · 30/11/2008 20:48

Absolutely!!! {{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
How do you feel about multiple germs?
Hope you're okay!!!!!!!

Guadalupe · 30/11/2008 20:50

I can't believe you have a similar wanker vendor, Avi! It must be the same one. Trouble is, I should withdraw our offer but we really want it and it has cost us so much already. We can't afford for him to call our bluff and we feel very emotionally involved. Dh got out some little ceramic number tiles that his late mother bought us for this house. We never got round to putting them on but they will go on the new house in a different order. Sounds daft I know.

Toot - you poor things. I am feeling much better. I swear by vast amounts of fizzing vitc and cider vinegar, I never seem to get ill for long. Mind you, I have stayed in my dressing gown all day which helps.

Dh cooked, or rather bought, steak pie which we had with roasted parsnips, swede, beetroot, carrots and purple sprouting broccoli.

I made baked apples and stuffed them with rum and raisins with lots of cinnamon and ground almonds and lemon. They have erupted very impressively and I am about to eat one hot with some plain yoghurt. Dh has gone to see primal scream at the university so I have the sofa to myself.

filthymindedvixen · 30/11/2008 20:50

Very un-MN, I know, but I'm always happy to proffer hugs {{hugs}}}

TooTicky · 30/11/2008 20:51

Sorry, I think my nose just dripped on your shoulder.

Guadalupe · 30/11/2008 20:52

Would you like some baked apple, smiles?

SmilesLikeNoOther · 30/11/2008 20:52

No, but can't go into it....will be OK.
Being tired doesn't help,
sorry, feeling sorry for myself.
Don't mean to bother folk but you know how it is sometimes....
am going to sign off for the night but just needed to have some contact, [weak smile]
