For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Smiles - who are you? Sorry, have lost track a bit with this thread recently.

Daisy - I know, putting it back on at a HIGHER price seems farcical atm. And breeeeeathe.

Toot - yes I know chocolate would be better, but how about I eat my delicious chocolate covered gooseberries and rhubarb from yourself while I drink the gin.

filthymindedvixen · 27/11/2008 21:38

eveining!
Smiles - I would love to see some of your work {nosey]
Guad - gin makes you cry, (trust me, I know)
don't do it!!

Thanks all for more nice comments Yes Tatties, i am on my own this week. Sigh, it's always the way innit?

Been watching about Mumbai and hoping Stuffit is well out of all harm and strife.

Off for an early night, much love
x

There you are, gooseberries and rhubarb. I can't be arsed to list anything else.

Oh, and juniper.

Guadalupe · 27/11/2008 21:40

I don't mean, who are you like that, I mean have you namechanged? You sound familiar.

Night, Fmv.

Boco · 27/11/2008 21:42

smiles is mou isn't she?

guad bummer about passport and stupid vendor. I like gin.

I've had my hair cut off - it's the shortest i've ever had it - kind of bob, slightly longer at the front. I think I like it.

Guadalupe · 27/11/2008 21:50

aaah, hello, Mou.

I like gin too, Boco, Hendricks is my favourite, with that fever tree tonic. No aspartamine.

Your hair sounds fab.

daisy99divine · 27/11/2008 21:52

Boco well done on hair! Does it make you feel light and young and sort of flippy?

Hope Evie is a bit better

Guad, Smiles is Mou - she name changed because her DS told her she had a smile like no other (awwww)

Mou, hope you are feeling better, I am on my second bout of this sick, shaky, shivery flu think and am FED UP!

being ill always makes me feel so cross, like i've let myself down and been weak or something!

daisy99divine · 27/11/2008 22:42

My fave gin is good old Gordons, can't beat it, with proper tonic.... slim line ruins a gin!

heh ho, yurt seems kinda empty

hope all veggers are well

Is there a Bernard Cribbens special on TV that I missed

TooTicky · 27/11/2008 22:57

Healthy healing thoughts to Smiles and Daisy and Boco's dd - how is she today?

And congrats on the hair Boco. Do you keep fiddling with it?

Cake in oven.

daisy99divine · 27/11/2008 23:28

Well done TooT, is it the banana cake?

how is your DD2 today?

TooTicky · 27/11/2008 23:50

Yes but with modifications. I didn't weigh the bananas for a start and of course didn't use eggs. However it smells brilliant and is nice and springy.

Dd2 is hot and flopsy. But appears to be sleeping well

SuperBunny · 28/11/2008 01:00

Toot did you just not use eggs or use something else instead?

Glad Boco's new hair is good. I'm nevber brave enough to get it chopped off

I;m more of a Bombay Sapphire girl but any gin'll do in an emergency.

Thanksgiving was lovely. Got to go and ice 5 xmas cakes now though. Might just wait and do it over the weekend with sis. Will be more fun with mulled wine company?

SmilesLikeNoOther · 28/11/2008 07:52

SB...."I'm more of a Bombay Sapphire girl but any gin'll do in an emergency"
I love that, made me LOL.

Feeling decidedly delicate today but it is DD's b'day party tomorrow so I have loads to do.

DSS is in India, not close to troubles but alarming nonetheless (don't know if I have ever mentioned H has two grown up sons).

Might have to wait till the website to see my pics as I can not do a link from a personal file.

Sorry about your stresses Guad, 'tis pants.

Sorry you are ill too Daisy. I have to be honest I have taken painkillers and had a can of red-bull, excusable in an emergency I hope. I don't get cross but am a great big wimp.

I hope all ailing people and Dc's are soon recovering.

Have a good day all....x

Bugger, and now the shopping has been delivered.

filthymindedvixen · 28/11/2008 12:23

I ham still on my own and desperately trying to find some friends for the weekend. Feel like billynomates as everyone is busy

OP posts:
SmilesLikeNoOther · 28/11/2008 12:29

nauseus and stomach cramps, think it is the onset of a migraine as I keep doing strange things,
shopping delivered is good, except I have to put it away.
Have you relatives you could go and dump the children on visit?

filthymindedvixen · 28/11/2008 12:32

sadly not this week....

Sorry to hear of migrae woes, I only get them once in a bluse moon and thankfully, just get visuals, not stomach stuff.
Take it easy, sweetie.

SuperBunny · 28/11/2008 15:45

Must be worrying, having family in India atm. Hope DSS stays safe, smiles.

Hope you find some company for the weekend, mou. Can you take the boys out for a long walk to wear them out?

daisy99divine · 28/11/2008 15:57

oh, Mou, poor you, hope you feel better soon?

I heart anadin extra!

TooT, what do you do to make cakes without eggs? As a total non vegan I have no idea? We would be scuppered without dairy products in Daisy Villas

have made appointment with homeopath, so thanks for that!

FMV, fancy a trip to London this weekend?

OsmosisBOOnana · 28/11/2008 16:30

Just popping head round the door

FMV - DD is clapping along to youtube video of Levellers doing 'Just the One' at BD 2007.

A proud moment.

Hope you're all well.

See ya round.

daisy99divine · 28/11/2008 16:33

Yo Osba! Well met dear friend!

glad all well, how is house refurb going?

OsmosisBOOnana · 28/11/2008 16:38

well... was going ok, found dream kitchen, was about to pay n stuff... well... MFI suck. Lets leave it at that.

Back to the drawing board.

Got to go, not being lured back in.

Have done very well on the f&v front though since retiring and have only drunk two cans of diet coke elixir of life.

Having lost 1.5 stone, slipped up and put nearly 3lb back on. Tedious.

Enjpy your w/e.
