For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

FrannyandZooey · 26/11/2008 18:28

I always forget the satsumas

SuperBunny · 26/11/2008 18:32

How exciting - about the wnaky baskets and the coat!

pinkspottywellies · 26/11/2008 19:27

Mangolassi did crossing out about cunting mangoes. She is officially a hardened 10/10 er

I have done much better today than the last few weeks orange juice, pear, prunes, soya beans. About to have peas, mushrooms, little bit of onion. Will have to wait another day or 2 for a banana. Tesco sent me rather green ones. Ah well, I'll learn for next time to note that I would like yellow ones.

Boco, sorry to hear about dd poor little mite. Is there anything they can do to prevent it recurring again or is it likely to be One of Those Things now that she's had it?

FrannyandZooey · 26/11/2008 19:29

i forgot to say about the bananas

filthymindedvixen · 26/11/2008 19:36

'Mere. 'Smee.
Dh is away and I have just had a double whanny at parents' evening.

F&V intake = st john's wort (well, it's a herb...)
1 slice of lemon (in a g&t)
side salad with baked spud.
Will be concocting something from spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms shortly.

what happened at parents evening?

FrayedKnot · 26/11/2008 19:50

Oh dear Boco

Hope tonight is better...I'm sorry I can;t suggest anything helpful at all....will you get a chance to rest a bit over the weekend?

Sorry, I love BC for his voice and humour but physically...

and as for Lovejoy....

filthymindedvixen · 26/11/2008 20:05

oh franny, I want to tell you but is long and complicated and I feel too feeble to deal with either issue right now. One issue involves ds1 and the other ds2. So I am feeling like adding a dislaimer to all my posts saying: ''Do not take any advice from FMF on nay parenting matters as she is completely crap and has failed miserably''

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/11/2008 20:07

oh flaming heck fmf
that is bollocks for a start
if your boys are having problems then thank god they have you as a mother
sorry you have had awful evening

TooTicky · 26/11/2008 20:08

Fmv, you are actually brilliant. Don't listen to anybody who makes you feel otherwise. I'll bite them [protective]

Oh Boco, poor dd and poor you. What is your weather like? Does it make a difference?

pinkspottywellies · 26/11/2008 21:10

{{{{{{{{{fmv}}}}}}}}}}} You are brill. Have a mango

Boco · 26/11/2008 22:07

Don't feel like that FMV, you sound like such a great mother - and your boys sound lovely, this parenting lark is ridiculously hard work sometimes isn't it. Sending love.

Toot weather is Cold with a but Cuh. But then she first got it in May when it was warm, and then september when it was medium, so I guess it doesn't make much difference.

I'm going to have my hair chopped off tomorrow. I've decided. I feel old and straggly and drawn, I want a new grown up smarter hair style. So that's what I'm going to do. (nothing to do with sitting quietly in a chair for an hour at all, oh no)

Yeah fmv and I will attack them with a sharp pointy cucmber....ggggrrrrrrr.

fmv...I am seeing a social worker, family therapist and a child mentor with regards to my son.

I have made many mistakes but as long as you love them, not despite their problems, but because of them, I do not think you can go far wrong. And it is very obvious that you are a fabulous caring mother. I wouldn't dream of patronising you but if you ever feel you need to offload to someone who is going through a parenting crisis, my e-mail is [email protected]. I will not be offended if you don't, but the offer is there. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

Have it really short and elvin Boco, it is fab....

Love your last post Toot, I knew we spoke the same language.

Excuse me for shouting but, after about 6 hours...

MY PICTURES AND PERSONAL STATEMENT ARE ON A DISC, AND I CAN POST IT TOMORROW AND I AM DED CHUFFED WITH MYSELF...I DID IT ALL ON MY OWN. (no help from grumpy h anyone)

Gosh Toot, I just don't know what to say.

FMF, sounds like a tough night. You always give such sensible advice. Whatever is going on with your boys, it's a good thing they have you.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 27/11/2008 00:01

Toot. I think I have worked out what you are saying....hope you are ok....{{{{{tender hugs}}}}}}

SuperBunny · 27/11/2008 00:12

I tried to work out what toot is saying but not much luck:

Tipped rice salad on the keyboard?

nice karate on the keyboard?

Something about ds2 before?

Hope you are ok.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 27/11/2008 00:21

How are you SB? how are things with your 'bf'?
