For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

And Camp Grenada.

he is so fab in the railway children also
in fact I may have a crush on him thinking about it
is he about 90 or something?

hello
Have disappeared into rl for a bit - bil had an accident on Sat night / Sunday morning. He's fine, stitches and concussion. Our house is full of in-laws - they live in various villages, we live near the hospital. Can't leave him alone there, he won't get fed, so they're babysitting in shifts. In-laws are all lovely but I can't communicate with any of them and we only have one bedroom and one bathroom so it's a bit much now [secretly hoping they'll all be gone when I get home]

And obviously, f+v consumption has plummeted - only carbs cut it in a crisis, I find. Today - erm, something green, carrots and cabbage in a stir fry. That's it . Will get back on the wagon again tomorrow [if the house is emptier]

daisy99divine · 25/11/2008 11:29

Oh Mango, poor you, hope BIL is better and rellies go home soon!

LOL at video Toot, I agree Franny, Bernard Cribbens has a to die for voice, not sure I want much more of him though

SB hope you are feeling better

Smiles -well done cycling, hope you are not too frozen!

Apparently it is sennac in amber that makes it work, but I really think it helps DS keep calm and he has had no problems teething ever. The only way I know he has a new tooth is he says "Look mummy, new tooth here" and points it out...

TooTicky · 25/11/2008 13:58

Oh blimey mango!

Franny, we have that Tod tape too - it is lovely, isn't it? Ds1 was listening to it long after I thought he might outgrow it

And yes, Bernard Cribbins is lovely. He was in Doctor Who recently y'know...

TooTicky · 25/11/2008 13:59

I have actually eaten some fruit. Have been v. bad recently not eating much at all. And nice cauli/broccoli/courgette/potato pie last night.

TigerFeet · 25/11/2008 14:09

Hello lovely bitches veggers

I might be around a bit more soon... colleague back from hols so I will shortly have more time for lurking on mn

Hope you're all doing well

Am staving off a chesty cough with mucho satsumas [sceptical]

I had a sweet potato felafel wrap for lunch today from the co-op. It was lush.

Love you allllllllllllll xx

TooTicky · 25/11/2008 14:20

Hello We have missed your stripiness

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 14:21

Mango Hope BIL gets better soon and that the inlaws leave you in peace so you eat more F&V.

It is 8:20 in the morning and i have orange cranberry white choc chip cookies in the oven. No real F&V yet. Spiced chocolate cake sounds really good. Can you share the recipe toot? Or tell us what spices you put in?

I love all these songs - I started a thread if anyone feels like adding to it. I'm going to search for more Bernard Cribbins now. Franny do you really fancy him? He does have a sexy voice.

TooTicky · 25/11/2008 14:23

Hello SB, have to rush to school, will be back later

SmilesLikeNoOther · 25/11/2008 14:52

mango. Hope all is well soon,

Penelope Cruz makes me smile...not sure if it is a crush but she is very lovely IMO!
(you wanted to know that didn't you!)

Getting lots done but MN dipping,

SB, I will be over for a cookie shortly.

Have had two gorgeous warm mince pies with cream, (home baked, but not by me)

daisy99divine · 25/11/2008 17:00

OOh cookies and mince pies, what a lovely place to be this morning!

TF hello

hope all are feeling full of fruity lushness

Had butternut squash and parsnip soup for lunch and a satsuma so feeling good!

fancy some macaroni cheese though for supper, something nice and carbo and cold weather warming!

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 17:44

Ooo, we had Mac and Cheese for lunch. And 'sausage' which I bought to see if I could use for sausage rolls but it takes odd. Too herby. I don't usually like meat replacement food but I think for sausage rolls, you need sausagey tasting stuff.

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 18:32

Right. My BF is ignoring me. I left him a message last Sunday to say hi. He hasn't called back. He emailed me a short but nice message last week, I responded but he hasn't got back to me. He has been on msn so I know he is around. He's done this ignoring thing before.

Now, in my mind we have split up (which I feel good about). But we haven't actually had a conversation about it so I have no idea what he is thinking. Last time he did this, he got all upset & huffy when I suggested that we were no longer seeing each other and that when he ignores me it gives me the impression that he doesn't really want much to do with me.

DO I:

a) let him continue with his weird ignory thing
b) call him - but say what?
c) email him and tell him he's a twat?

SmilesLikeNoOther · 25/11/2008 18:35

I've sent an e-mail, with an attatchment!!! (as a technical dunce, this is a monumental achievement!) and written my personal statement.....I am disproportionately pleased with myself.

Heyyy, tigerfeet.

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 18:39

Woohoo mou!

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2008 18:41

erm yes I think I really do fancy him or at least heart him
or the idea of him
his voice is just wonderful
and he is very funny isn't he? i do like to laugh
and he was not unattractive IMO when younger eg railway children
he has a nice rubbery face
LOL I am really selling him now aren't I

TooT the bit in Todd where he says "with a blue velvet ribbon to match the colour of her eyes" makes me go all squishy inside

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2008 18:45

SB why does he ignore you? it sounds annoying

TF wahey! I regularly send emails saying "please see attachment" and then forget the ruddy thing

Mango, blimey. Good luck with all that. Remind us to tell you about when Boco got stuck in a Polish hospital and had to live off a grey fish block

I am going to think about the amber thing. I have a friend who makes them as bracelets. It seems worth a try. He has the beginnings of the nasty cough thing that is going round now, so fingers crossed it won#'t develop. Ds1 has had it and not suffered with it so hopefully we have the special mild version

SmilesLikeNoOther · 25/11/2008 18:45

Maybe he is licking his wounds SB?

Especially if he doesn't want to also split. I would think (IMO) that he very much wants to have something to do with you and feels uncomfortable speaking to you while he is hurting.

It is hard to second guess, but that is why I would behave in that way. If I couldn't be with someone I cared about, I would need time to gather myself....

Maybe give him some space for now.

I really hope you are OK, even if it is what you want, it is still a stressfull time...take-care..x

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 18:46

I don't know what he looks like these days. I will have to google. He might be one of those silver foxes.

Why is no-one helping me with my multiple choice problem?

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2008 18:46

I am eating home made cheese straws
I always feel like I should censor ch**se when you are here TooT
also it makes it look more exciting
I am eating Ch*se strws

see?

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2008 18:47

where is the multiple choice doodah? i have the other thread open, will contribute later
LOL at possibility of silver fox
I really doubt it

SuperBunny · 25/11/2008 18:49

Oh so sorry, you both responded

I don't know why he ignores me, Franny. It's rather strange. And childish. Last time he said it was because he was busy but came after a slightly uncomfortable conversation so perhaps some wound-licking there.

I will leave him be then. He knows where I am. And we haven't fallen out or anything.

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2008 18:49

distinguished

that was by FAR the best photo I could find at any age

I think I will stick to listening and not looking
