For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

SB, go on FB and look at my status update or whatever it's called.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 17:19

Oh, you're a clever thing, Toot! Thanks

stuffitllama · 22/11/2008 19:00

hello fruitsters
peppers, carrots, beans, an apple

fmf and awe. But it sounds like you were a kind thief catcher.

Fireworks are going off like fury every night, it's an auspicious time for weddings are there are thousands of them this weekend. We have two wedding gardens nearby, like having Blackpool Illuminations on the doorstep and its boom boom boom till the early hours. Can't wait to go to one.

Have a lovely week next week, I'm going to the UK. M and S food hall beckons followed by a customs wrangle no doubt.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 19:13

Stuffit!

How lovely to be going home for a bit. It's freezing here. I'm marzipanning my xmas cakes but it's taking forever and I'm bored.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 22/11/2008 19:59

Hope you had a good day SB. My only christmas cake was an unmitigated disaster and I promised I would never make another one!

Did you have your fire Franny?, and did the lady e-mail you back?
It is certainly the weather for it.

Are you still in shock FMV?....have another glass of wine,.

Toot, I hope your DS's are all in full recovery mode.

It is nearly snowing....(hopeful emoticon). Christmas shopped this morning I got a good run in this afternoon, but am paying for it now.. I'm earning every minute of it now. Never mind, am making christmas cards so will cheer myself up.

If I make rum truffles for christmas, how long will they keep, in good condition? I don't want to kill any of my lovely customers off!

Taking DS out on a bike ride tomorrow and am hoping to talk him into off-roading.

DD is 6 on tuesday and is soooo excited. Having a tea party for 10 at our house on saturday in what must be the smallest front room imaginable! DS and a friend are going to be waiters.

Back to my cards and running around after dc's .

Night all, xx

filthymindedvixen · 22/11/2008 20:08

Love the idea of the waiters!!

Stuffit, enjoy your trip!! Give us a wave if you're passing this way

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 20:12

Tea party sounds lovely, SLNO

Dunno about rum truffles. I need to make fudghe or tablet but I just cleaned the kitchen and don't want to make more mess. And I'm hungry.

Where is TF.

Are FKs initials VW?

TooTicky · 22/11/2008 20:12

fmv you noodle, wasn't she on the list I gave you? She is one of my friends, CBC. She may be without puter though...

TooTicky · 22/11/2008 20:14

Yes SB she is.

Why is this thread so slow to load?

SmilesLikeNoOther · 22/11/2008 20:28

Feeling much improved and positive thank-you Toot, I hope you are OK, you have had a rough time of it.

I really should get back to my cards....

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 20:39

Thanks Toot. I had confused myself

FrayedKnotinaPumpkinCostume · 22/11/2008 21:25

FMV it was meeeeeee! About the trains!

I thought maybe you had forgotten

And yes I am VW so everyone add me who hasn;t

SB mmm go on, you know you want to

Boco I'm not sure if you are posting here or on t'other thread but so sorry to hear about last night...I hope things are more settled today. Whata dreadful worry for you all

TooTicky · 22/11/2008 21:57

I have seed potatoes. What do I do with them?

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 22:01

No idea Toot, sorry.

I made fudge. Tablet next. Then wrap holiday gifts. Then need to make shopping list.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 22:02

Would it be stupid to suggest planting them?

TooTicky · 22/11/2008 23:33

I think they have to be chitted first, which involves egg boxes or something. But I don't know when or where, dark or light, or for how long....

TooTicky · 22/11/2008 23:34

What exactly is tablet? Is it like toffee?

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 23:50

Oh, spuds sound a bit complicated. I've never grown them.

Tablet is more like fudge but crumbly. Hard to describe really. It's scottish.

TooTicky · 23/11/2008 00:13

Not vegan I suppose?

SuperBunny · 23/11/2008 00:22

very much not, I'm afraid - condensed milk, milk and butter.

TooTicky · 23/11/2008 00:41

Ah well.

pinkspottywellies · 23/11/2008 10:20

Tablet is like Kendal mint cake texture and fudge flavour. It's lovely. [sweet shop lady]

FrannyandZooey · 23/11/2008 10:44

woooooo it's snowing!

well, it has been snowing
now it's sleeting

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2008 11:44

ok, yes, seed pots need chitting. Put them in egg boxes (Though mine have chitted laid out on a plastic sledge in the garage ) in a cool place, not too bright (shed or grage is ideal) until they have sprouty bits on. (could take a couple of weeks or more)
Remove weaker sprouts. Plant out. Though I have not grown winter spuds before so google for that.(ie timings)

It is very bright here, with icing sugar snow. But treacherously biting wind. So don't feel inclined to go out.
DH is going away on tuesday again for 5 days.
