For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

races in spinning around doing stupid dances in terribly annoying way.......

I AM ON FIRE I tell thee. I had answers for questions and stuff in my health studies lecture.

Oh yeah.

AND I am something verging on looking forward to starting my animal welfare behemoth. Am reading lots of 'inneresding' (to quote my Chicagan tutor) stuff about animal equality / speciesism.

Hey Womb!¬!

daisy99divine · 06/11/2008 15:56

Exactly TF, it's all very well having wiggling booty in the yurt, I mean some may say it is very nice, but only in moderation carruthers!

TigerFeet · 06/11/2008 15:59

Have posted (rather unhelfully sadly) on your thread daisy

daisy99divine · 06/11/2008 16:01

Thanks anyway TF

Has your DD started the Long March to the Childminder yet ???

mou · 06/11/2008 16:10

Talking about 'wiggling booty'..I was at work, listening to a fab track with earphones in, singing and dancing my heart out. (Sometimes work in clients homes). Not realising client had returned home and let themself in!!

TigerFeet · 06/11/2008 16:13

the long march will have been completed by now - no phone calls so am assuming all is well...

TigerFeet · 06/11/2008 16:13

lol mou

What do you do?

FrayedKnot · 06/11/2008 16:32

Hello dear veggers

TF have posted on your thread.

Daisy - oh dear - you sound like you are doing loads already....What about a tummy massage? Trouble is I suppose getting a 2.5 yr old to stay still long anough.

I am also intrigued as to Mou's profession

mou · 06/11/2008 16:37

..might tease you for a bit and keep mum! (only cos it is soooo unexciting)

SuperBunny · 06/11/2008 19:02

Do you know, we don't have satsumas here? Well, round christmas you can get a bag of about 6 for $5 but they are those horrible dry ones. Why can we not get decent satsumas? Or clementines?

Hope the castle is good.

Course sounds fascniating, OB. LOL @ mou. I'm intrigued too.

Went to playgroup and no-one else showed up and it was lovely DS and I sat and did 'jiggasaws'together. They were mainl disney princess ones but we had so much fun

FrayedKnot · 06/11/2008 21:15

Jiggasaws

I wouldn;t survive long in a satsuma-free place.

Anyhting else (clementine, minneola) just won;t do.

FrayedKnot · 06/11/2008 21:56

Oh SB, I found a mail order website for you for satsumas from Louisiana but apparently the crop has been so damaged by hurricanes that they are not shipping any this year

SuperBunny · 06/11/2008 22:20

Oh

But thanks for looking. Maybe that's why we don't have satsumas here. I hadn't thought about the reason.

pinkspottywellies · 06/11/2008 22:55

Castle is now lilac inside but I ran out of paint and think I mixed the last bit too dark so might have to do another coat tomorrow. [wishes she'd never started]

Night all x
