I too smoked during both my pregnancies I am so ashamed to say-and prettyfly1 I am feeling exactly the same as you-can you believe I gave up last year on the day my second son was born for nearly four months and then just one puff and off that ffffffffing cycle goes again-(sorry,can you tell I want a fag??!!)

Good luck with you all for attempting to give up ciggies. I've been in that boat and I know how incredibly hard it is. But little word of warning. I used Nicotinel chewing gum to give up, and now 16 months later I am addicted to them. I'm on about 7 a day. Just can't seem to give it up. I've just swapped one addiction for another.

prettyfly dropinthe has just strated so why don't you give up tomorrow and do it togetheror when you feel ready but it'll be nice to do it with someone else

Whymummy what perfume did you buy? (mayby we could start a thread on it!!!!Only laugh if you saw the thread I was talking about a couple of days ago!!)
Well done for treats for yourself-unfortunatley, being a hardcare ebay freak I tend to "treat" myself on skincare and facecare vvoften because there are sooo many bargains to be had out there in virtual shopping centre and they are all for meee! Have a bit of a retail addiction too even though no money that is disposable!!!

My mum did exactly the same-she was always a real hardcore smoker and gave up a year ago and she has NEVER got her mouth empty of either gum or lozenge-can you believe before she gave up the fags for good she would smoke a fag then pop a piece of gum in-how disgusting is that!! Why not have a nicotine drip eh,mother!!!
To be serious I was a bit worried about her getting some nasty mouth ulcer thing-it CANT be good for you,eh?

lol,i saw a thread about perfumes the other day,i bought miami glow is by jlo but i love it!!! everytime i went past the shop i went in and sprayed myself because the smell made me sooo happy,it's tropical fruits,i just had to go and get it last week,it really cheers me up,i'm mad i know

Prettyfly1-be my buddy-Im online for alot of the day so normally would pick most posts up every few hours-as whymummy said, I only stopped yesterday so am going through hell(with Nicotinell)!!! Think of that stupid advert with those big pathetic fags with faces all over the place and imagine kicking then in the goulies and rememeber that no smoker gets up in the night from sleep to take a puff so we dont need it in the day-its all mind games!!!

Whymummy-as a seasoned Mn user-can you just answer a couple of questions-what does bump mean?What will happen if I flip a thread(sounds like something I would do if I couldnt have a fag!!!) and why do people put one word in the middle of loads of>???What does it all mean?

ok say you started a thread asking for advice and it dissapeared from the top 50 really quick without an answer,once out of the top 50 is very hard for people to see your thread so you go and leave a message on it or just the wrods "bump" to make your thread appear on the first 50,active conversations

The treat things are sometimes the only things that keep me going. sometimes I just put the money in my 'cash not ash' jar and sometimes I spend it. This week I have treated myself to an eyelash tint, eyebrow wax and haircut with hi-lites!
