For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes. Anything like that. So glad I had a girl!!

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 10:11

oooh, one my colleagues DP works for / runs Fairy Love, the people that make the criminally expensive beauteous fairy wings.

I want some. Only to look at though, maybe for DD.

Too much $$ though. Way too much. Tried to make some once. Oh dear.... very poor.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 10:26

I often wore black I think, just not much of it.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 10:27

Actually I did have a neon orange fluffy croptop thing once, but even that had a black back. It was vile.

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 11:03

Reach for the lasers Guad.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 11:07

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 11:12

Am trying to find our old website with costume pics but think the rozzers shut it down some time ago.

LOL at use of word 'rozzers'. Don't think I've ever typed that let alone said it out loud!

fullmoonfiend · 21/08/2008 11:13

have some already (god bless lakeland )

And bubble mixture!

My friend makes beautiful faity wings but I don't do them. I like sparkly, glittery etc but just to look at/play with. Humph. I am not a girly girl. She is going to make me some pirate fairy wings for next year though...

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 11:44

Oh god. I have to go on the M4 / M5 on a Friday afternoon. Always a laugh....

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 11:45

took us 3 hours to go 20 miles on the M5 last week

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 13:04

was there an accident?

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 13:12

my friends are going to Shambala
look out for wizard with impressive beard

"although I pretend to be reluctant, my inner show off dancer is just waiting to be set free."
Hah! Like that was going to come as a surprise to any of us

I have fairy wings but these days they are in ds's dressing up box

lots of avocado, tomato, red pepper

will debrief on a.m. mayhem later (know you cannot wait)

OB I thought you typed "have you not got a bouncy castle you can drag into the bathroom" and I thought it was very funny
he finds the bouncy chair the work of the devil, usually
we are almost entirely permanently attached

ouch

BabiesEverywhere · 21/08/2008 13:48

Franny, get yourself a solarweave or solarveil water sling...availble in either a pouch, ring sling, wrap or mei tai.

Then you can shower with your velcro baby. I started with a solarveil pouch with DD (as a baby) found it a bit scratchy so I now use a solarweave mei tai.

Thanks for the posts locking me into this thread Don't really do enough F&V so I'll try and eat more.

Yesterday I had Melon and a banana, small side salad
Today I have had lovely plate salad for lunch with cucumbers, peppers, tomatos, lettuce etc plus strawberries

TigerFeet · 21/08/2008 13:51

You know those trays of pineapple you get from the supermarket for £££ - they are selling them in the staff shop here for 25p each

I waived aside my issues with overpackaging and bought loads.

I am starting to feel sick though.

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 14:06

Ah! Motorway guru!

Know anything about the M32 - M4 - M5? Anyway to avoid?

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 14:10

at water sling
honestly?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 14:12

since I posted ds2 has been in his bouncy chair for half an hour happily bouncing to bad disco music
he just wanted to prove me a liar I reckon

TigerFeet · 21/08/2008 14:12

M32 isn't oop north so not so hot I'm afraid

I tend not to stray south of Watford Gap

I hear that the M4/M5 junction can be a complete bastard though [evil ]. We went to Devon a couple of years ago and the stretch of the M5 past Brizzle was bladder clenchingly snarled up.

TigerFeet · 21/08/2008 14:13

There is not a sling that BE hasn't bought

BabiesEverywhere · 21/08/2008 14:15

RE.Water Slings. Yep, DD needed to be attached to me 24/7 and I needed to shower

I have used the solarweave mei tai in the swimming pool and on the beach/outside paddling pool. Solarweave also protects from UV rays, is extremely lightweight and dries out of the water in minutes...great holiday slings.

BabiesEverywhere · 21/08/2008 14:15

I (use to) buy far too many slings.

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 14:16

what a hoot
not the bit about 24 hours, that is sort of bad, but the swimming pool / shower sling is very funny

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 21/08/2008 14:18

gwan Franny get one - you know you want to

BabiesEverywhere · 21/08/2008 14:20

I am hopeing DS will be less of a velcro baby than DD was.
