For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

no of course not

but I realised that even a daft offer was stupid given names etc

besides I doubt I could get it to you in time

fullmoonfiend · 21/08/2008 16:10

Guad, the forum suggests that adult id is sufficient for families. We are taking our driving licences as they have address and photo on. Copies are ok. ut you will need ID of some dsort (passport copy?)

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 16:14

can't log on to the website at the moment, very annoying, says you do not have access from this server?

I'll just take passorts I think, haven't got time to copy things now.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 16:15

I've got my ear defenders

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 16:33

still no bloody van, we are meant to be leaving in less than three hours

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 17:44

Boco · 21/08/2008 18:20

Have a good time all you festival goers. Am quite jealous, you'll all be dressed up and dancing!

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 18:21

yes but Pink is up the duff [judgy]

OP posts:
Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 18:24

oh, yes, she is. Pink, drink fat coke, or better still no coke.

Tbf there is no ordinary tonic and I am desperate. Skinny tonic is like cat's piss.

I will be dancing soon won't I, Boco, it seems miles away. Well, it is. Just loading the van now.

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 18:25

courgettes
mushrooms
aubergine
sweetcorn
broccoli
black eyed beans

a pear
some really odd melon
actually I didn't eat it, it was too odd

I do hope you all have a nice time
I am jealous like Boco - I think we have decided although could manage EOTR festival quite well, we probably definitely can't afford it, and also would be in danger of sort of trying to recreate the good time we had last year - which is not going to be the same at all this year with ds2
so I think we are going to go camping on the cheap somewhere (prob Suffolk if anyone wants to meet up) and have a new adventure somewhere different
do you think this makes sense?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 18:37

can you please think of good easy snacks that I can grab when I am feeling ravenous? I get shaky with hunger quite easily and also a bit sleep deprived, so end up eating chocolate as needs no preparation and gives instant energy boost
however am getting through far too much
what would be better? must be quick to eat

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 18:41

oh BabiesEverywhere - thank you, it is not the length that is the problem, with the CalinBleu, it is the width - it has so much fabric that they say fold it in two before tying - errr, what is the point of having very light weight cool fabric and then having to double it up? I can't sew, otherwise would make my own sling, so will not attempt to rehem it

it is very odd - perhaps some sensible explanation, but don't know what

OP posts:
BabiesEverywhere · 21/08/2008 18:54

Franny, I haven't tried that particular sling and from what you are saying I doubt I will ever try it !?!

My wraps (Didys) don't need doubling or anything. Is there a sling meet near you ? They will either help you with your sling or rent/sell you one that works better.

apple
mushroom
pepper
onion

FrannyandZooey · 21/08/2008 19:15

ooh you;ve been eating vegetables and everything
you'll be getting a sticker soon if you are not careful

My interest in banana yoghurt was genuine! I love 'em. What kind of snacks do you want, Franny?

Granola bars (I have a good recipe but you probably don't want to be baking), dried fruit - stick it in a tub and miz it up, trail mix, cereal/ oats, apples, bananas, oatmeal cookies (or I just eat the dough out of the freezer)

So, just for Franny:

She has greasy hair, OB, Guadalupe & FMF are going away this weekend OB used to dance on podiums and uses the workd 'rozzers'. Is that the plural of podium? Should it be podia? My mum used to dance in cages suspended above the dance floor. I do not want to think about it.

TF got bargain Pineapple. BE has been visiting but NOT mentioned F&V. I noticed. Pink is in trouble of drinking diet coke.

Speaking of which, I am on a diet. A not eating everything in sight kind of diet. Because I am now far from bordering underweight. I have no idea how my weight can fluctuate by 15 lbs over a couple of weeks. It always does this - I just want to stay one weight. This is v frustrating.

Wikipedia says that corn is a grain. I need it to be a veg.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 19:26

fuckety fuckety fuckety fuck

I wish I wasn't so disorganised.

I seem to be surrounded by fish.

SuperBunny · 21/08/2008 19:28

Oh, I owe BE an apology. By the time I posted, you had actually listed F&V. Sorry

Hope all fest goers have fun. I'm going to Indiana this weekend, I fink, to see if I still have a BF or not.

SuperBunny · 21/08/2008 19:28

Fish? Are you ok MrsC?

zippitippitoes · 21/08/2008 19:31

what secret festival are you all going to

TooTicky · 21/08/2008 19:37

MrsC and Fmf are going to Solfest, OB is going to Shambala [busybody]

TooTicky · 21/08/2008 19:38

I have read everything and am sending appropriate messages and vibes. Okay? [tired]

SuperBunny · 21/08/2008 19:40

You ok Toot?

I got the Uncheese cookbook from the library last night. And have nutritional yeast. Am all ready!

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 19:41

phew - have palmed fish off on neighbours. They are pleased.

Yes, I am ok, just a bit stressed. It would have been ok if the van hadn't arrived so late, loading it all up now is really annoying and the door keeps slamming and ds2 keeps running in the road and only wants to sit in the van and dd is picking next door's lavender to 'make the van smell nice' and ds1 doesn't seem to have any trousers and so on.

I'm sure it will be fab when we arrive
