For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think it would be really nice to have a child-orientated meet up. All these lovely children we hear about, I'm sure they'd enjoy playing together.

berolina · 20/08/2008 22:18

Oh I agree - yours were so lovely with mine when we met.

Btw, yes I did get card! Thank you. so sorry, I thought I'd mentioned it before. More by email, am 1-handed

zippitippitoes · 20/08/2008 22:35

i am a fraud im afraid i dont post for a bit and then you all feel obliged to be lovely when i do

i think the application is not good enough

unbelievably considering how much dithering it took

but i cant seem to get it together really

never mind

i shall keep trying

it is with an organisation that is notoriously hard to get into

it is near toot tho

but even further from bf but i dont think i should figure him into long term

TooTicky · 20/08/2008 22:37

No no, it's no obligation, we just like you
Would be great if you were near here
How is bf or shouldn't I ask?

zippitippitoes · 20/08/2008 22:39

if you do a child meet near toot i will try and bring my fake child dgs

but i might have to do an inverted davina statement

dgs these are mners please do not swear

but he is actually very well behaved...heaven knows how he thrives..i was an earth mother and mine had a baton labelled make trouble they passed along so one of the three always had it

zippitippitoes · 20/08/2008 22:40

bf is a geeky sex god ....

TooTicky · 20/08/2008 22:42

That would be good Zippi. However, not many people are in/can get to this area

I like the trouble baton
Well, I don't like it, but it's a good way of putting it iyswim.

I must go to bed. Dd2 was up at quarter past six this morning, it's been a busy day and tomorrow I must be up by 7
Good night

SuperBunny · 21/08/2008 00:51

I didn't know banana yoghurt was difficult to get hold of. I am boring and only buy plain although the Soy yoghurt was on offer this week so I got a tub of vanilla. If you eat it with your eyes closed, it is fine.

Lots of people have disappointing parents. Mine failed in some areas (quite spectacularly at times when it mattered) but are v good at keeping in touch now. I know I am lucky.

What else? FK went for a bike ride, PSW doesn't get the title (neither do I). Lully's DS is going to take her to tea at The Ritz every day, Bero has wonderful boys, Toot is advocating for a child-friendly meet-up, zippi is busy with application forms & her children had a troublesome baton

FMV - I can't bear to look at the weather, is it very bad? It is going to be hot hot hot here, bloody typical. The van is in for a service so I can't load it up and I haven't done all the washing and I have a headache and the thought of being ready to leave by tea-time for the festival seems pretty unlikely at the moment.

Have you done phone or e-tickets? I had a right faff with printing them off and getting the barcode.

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 09:29

do you not have a bouncy chair you can drag into the bathroom with you?

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 09:35

I am all packed and ready for festival [smug].

I only know it is going to belt it down all w/e so that is what I have prpepared for. Have packed 3 empty clean recycling type boxes too for muddy shoes / coats / husbands to be dumped in.

[double smug]

have not quite finihsed my costume, cave baby outfit is v good, might sew on a hood...

Found bottle of wine on desk this from unknown benefactor (maybe someone who I paid too much study leave too?) so will sup that whilst attaching yet another ream of bright pink netting to underside of skirt. Have bleeding fingers today. Need to find ribbon for corsets, should have done that yesterday in craft shop. Duff.

Glad you got home in one piece TooT - you're a braver woman than I - I get angry just driving myself home and Isla, let alone public transport with tired kids.

fullmoonfiend · 21/08/2008 09:37

Guad, not terrible, just not. Sunny.
It's the old summer standby, grey, chilly with 'showers'. I was cold yesterday, sitting outside with jeans, dress and cardi on. At lest Molly Roger costume is nice and warm

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 09:44

I don't have a costume. I'll have my face painted.

I would have packed but I just need to put everything in the cupbards in the van but it's not here yet.

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 09:53

I have no choice. Bloody compulsory fancy dress on Saturday.

In a past life I used to do podium dancing in big grotty warehouses / raves.

So... although I pretend to be reluctant, my inner show off dancer is just waiting to be set free.

Hence vast numbers of corsets etc. Many aletrations req'd.

Guadalupe · 21/08/2008 09:55

Did you? My sister used to do that. I went to them but tended to dance in the corner until I was beyond caring. No sense of rhythm.

I don't even have any dressing up things. DD will be pleased though, she likes to put on sparkly stuff.

OsmosisBanana · 21/08/2008 10:00

yes, I am always drawn to bits of uv fluff and feathers in a way quite unbecoming to someone of over 22.

Ah those were the days.... the days I blame for my complete lack of short term memory.

fullmoonfiend · 21/08/2008 10:04

(OB, me too. IF IT'S SHINY, OR SPARKLY OR GLOW IN THE DARK i NEEEED IT. I am a very shy extrovert....)
