For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Mooooooooorrrrrrning

No fruit or veg yet

In fact no food yet

Wish I was still in bed

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 08:59

Mango, passionfruit, banana, blueberry, raspberry and kiwi salad with lime and yoghurt.

TigerFeet · 30/08/2008 09:06

Morning

F&V crap

Exercise crap

Resolving to try harder though.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 09:12

I am surrounded by berries, you can have some of mine.

Where is Lully btw?

Tatties · 30/08/2008 09:52

Morning! Good to see you Avi, sorry about the migraine though

Tatties · 30/08/2008 09:58

TF you sound fed up, are you ok?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 10:06

Do people feel fed-up because it's the end of the summer? I always feel quite pleased, not that I don't like summer but I feel much more energetic in the autumn, and there are lovely coats and boots to buy. Frosty mornings, crackly fires anyone?? No?

Tatties · 30/08/2008 11:22

Oh I always feel relief at the end of the summer too Guad. I really really love autumn. But I didn't enjoy it so much last year as my anxiety about getting ill overshadowed it. I hope I can get through it better this year

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 11:28

Ill?? Do you get SAD?

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2008 11:35

autumn superb time of year, by far the best
I hope you have a better one this year Tatties

party was good and ds2 just stayed awake and fed etc
till 10.40 [bleary]
am not very good at adult conversation though espec when ds2 is actually sitting on my lap making me think awwww how cute etc

nectarine, pear, melon, raisins, apple

ds2 wearing his Fluffles MrsC! has bottom size of Canada

ds1 unspecified crossness
seems to be emotion for week (unsurprising)
he blooming loves ds2 but unimpressed by dp and I at moment
rather wearing, of course could be a lot worse
the rudeness is quite annoying
never sure whether to call it or ignore it so end up doing dreadful mixture of both

UR I would not do the 10 pm lifting as this trains them to wee at this time
ds1 only recently out of night time nappies so I would not be getting worried about a younger one still weeing at night
but I know you are going to think of stress or whatever
and the washing is difficult
a towel on the bed can sometimes catch a boy sized wee IME

we had better think of a new title I suppose
this one too eclectic for masses I presume as no-one has come in to compliment us on it

DD is hard work. She is sitting in her room again atm. Another one of her 'games' involved ds2 getting hurt. This time he went flying off the sofa. She's not nasty just very overexcited and he always ends up getting bumped. I found it hard not be amused when he was sitting on her monks bench so that she couldn't out yesterday, though, of course I put on a mock stern voice and said 'don't trap dd in the monks bench' whilst waving a finger.

The fluffles are very fluffy aren't they. I expect he has gron out of his vests by now?

Right, we are off camping though it isn't sunny as forecast. I don't mind. We are going to pick lots of samphire.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 11:44

No comments, just someone asking who alfalfa garcia was.

Why not a plain one for a change, simple, yet brilliant. I pass it to you all.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2008 11:46

I can't think of titles anymore. My brain has run out of puns.

Tatties · 30/08/2008 12:01

Oh Guad, just you know, there seems to be more things to catch in the autumn and winter and it gives me the heebie-jeebies

Titles! For once I have thought of some! They are crap of course

I am the Passion Fruit, I get ripe, I get ripe...

Orange Peel around the Fountain

I have a couple more but won't subject you to them just yet...

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2008 12:26

LOL passion fruit

MrsC he is out of the mushroom one, especially now with his supersized bot

I ruddy hate samphire
I was working at Sandringham estate once (long story) and had to wash and prepare a pile of samphire which looked like the pile of straw in Rumpelstiltskin
I have never been fond of it since

Boco · 30/08/2008 12:35

I don't suppose anyone from here sent me a letter or something did they? I have a little slip through the door saying a parcel to 'Bozo' needs to be collected from PO next week and I've very curious. I don't think it had postage on it.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2008 14:19

lolol bozo
no sorry not me

OP posts:
Boco · 30/08/2008 15:02

Hmmm, is a mystery. Makes me sound like a deranged clown. I suppose that's ok.

I'm just concerned that it's from my brother, as he is sending me the next series of the wire. and that would mean he snooped at my posting name, which is very possible as we fought over the internet quite a lot while he was here.

We were going to Walberswick today, but it got later and later and we milled and loitered until it was too late, and now the girls are fighting and squealing and the house is a tip and it's a lovely day. [grumpy]

Tatties · 30/08/2008 15:05

LOL at Bozo! Nope, sorry not me

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2008 17:04

am ashamed to be finding ds1 really trying this week

his constant hoarding of things like bits of paper and shoeboxes
his grandiose schemes that are completely unrealisable and that he expects me to effect immediately - i.e. to invite 5 of his friends to come and stand outside our back gate to form a secret society
his insistence he can do things which are completely inappropriate for his age e.g have a bow and arrow, or a penknife, or indeed for anyone to do, eg play with electricity and water
his utter rage and when thwarted in any of these and his utter inability to appreciate that he is AMAZINGLY lucky and that we are are in fact really liberal about the things that he is allowed to do

is it his age
or mine?

I am really struggling to be positive with all this crap tbh

I did type somethiung to you about this fz - but when i read it back it was stating the bleeding obvious which is not helpful and rather irritating. So I deleted it.

You have my sympathies - mine learnt that I am falliable, but still fail to appreciate the wonderous mothering acts I bestow upon them.

Bozo - it was not me, I don't think it was because I gave the one I had to you to you. Also if it was me and I had forgotten (which I do) I would have put your real name 'cranberry tortilla'

I don't get tatties titles - but am musically illiterate.

only democrats eat brocolli

no - that is crap, but topical and unmusical- but maybe too political.

BBBee · 30/08/2008 17:40

oi filth - come and talk periods to me

BBBee · 30/08/2008 17:42

bero - well done on job thing - it is really hard. I started a course this time last year and I am crap at leaving my children anywhere.

It gets better and easier and they are okay.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2008 17:52

oh even the bleeding obvious would be helpful
I can't see anything obvious myself maybe that is the problem
