For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

can I just send ds1 in a parcel? he would love it and he will be no bother, although he does eat quite a lot

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 22:15

OMG Europapark! I won a prize! It was great!

That was v. exciting. I regret the plug. I liked the gushing and the epiphany and everything. Honestly. It was amazing. [unmocking]

Boco · 31/07/2008 22:42

I did know it was you really wombling, I was just pretending not to. For fun.

Do we know who everyone else is though, would be good if there was one real life lurker among them.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 31/07/2008 22:44

I am a real life demi lurker

do we have to introduce ourselves

Tatties · 31/07/2008 22:45

I don't know what you're all on about tonight.

Who is going to a lavender farm?

womblingalong · 31/07/2008 22:53

SuperBunny · 01/08/2008 02:25

Tatties · 01/08/2008 08:34

Good morning

I woke in the middle of the night to thunder and lightning!

OsmosisBanana · 01/08/2008 08:40

Morning!

I am going to the Gower tomorrow to stay with my best friends. Although this is always fun it means I have to share a room with DD. Not fun. How can one small creature make so much noise asleep??? I think in a previous life she was an overweight old man with a drinking problem.

a banana

OsmosisBanana · 01/08/2008 08:41

I love waking up in a storm - or just being awake in a storm. Both are good! We've had massive electrical storms here all week, weird dramatic skies and torrential rain too. Quite spectacular in a 'oh fucksticks the washing is still out' kind of way

filthymindedvixen · 01/08/2008 10:23

Hi Tatties - me too. And them Period arrived an hour later. I am so tired this morning

Banana.

FrannyandZooey · 01/08/2008 11:49

WHITE TOAST
and more white toast

ds2 has decided he can only sleep with my nipple in his mouth
it has been a long morning

raisins, grapes, melon, pineapple

ds1 swimming with childcarer thank the lord
if ds2 had been like this with ds1 around and no dp what would I have done? Lawks

Tatties · 01/08/2008 11:59

Franny are you using a sling yet? It is hard isn't it, ds wanted to feed constantly.

New moon today. I am glad it is nearly the weekend and I am away next week (to my other residence )

FrannyandZooey · 01/08/2008 14:36

I have Sling Issues and no-one was able to answer when I started a thread

Tatties that is very exciting

FrannyandZooey · 01/08/2008 14:38

oh baked beans and black eyed beans

I am feeling a bit about childcarer
she is not quite biddable enough for my liking
when I say "ds would like to do this today" what I MEAN is, so do it
she does her own thing a leetle bit more than I enjoy

OsmosisBanana · 01/08/2008 14:42

what are your sling issues?

avocado
apple
artichoke hearts

Tatties · 01/08/2008 16:00

Franny it is exciting Just for the week though for a bit of a break as there is nothing happening here

Have you looked at TheBabyWearer forum ? You have to register but I got some very informative responses there when I was researching slings

I have had good mango again. Not sure whether I should tell you my secret...

berolina · 01/08/2008 16:02

Franny I saw that thread, but couldn't help. Is a Hugababy (was it that?) a wrap or a carrier?

Polite-but-firm word with childcarer? Does ds1 go along happily with what she wants, or are they really things you can't approve of?

Apple nectarine plum banana bluebs. Pittas with pesto chickpeas tomato cucumber lettuce.

We are going to have a thunderstorm. It is getting darker by the minute and leaves are blowing from the trees. - Oh, that was the first rumble. I am getting off here.

Tatties · 01/08/2008 16:05

Mmmm bero your pitta sounds nice

SuperBunny · 01/08/2008 18:00

Pita sounds delicious

Banana, grapes, blueberries, chocolate chip pancakes, flax seed and I have a cold and feel yuck. Have sent mum to have a nap with DS so that I can 'catch up' on things

pinkspottywellies · 01/08/2008 18:24

Soooo tired.

Banana, kiwi, half an avocado (so far ) about to dig some spag bol out of the freezer with probably some combo of onion, pepper, mushroom, carrot, courgette in it.

Not good. I made a bed though which was enough exercise for me, and I think going to the supermarket tonight will finish me off!

My dad and step-mum are coming to stay tomorrow. I had put it on the calendar for next week, stupidly, even though I knew it was a Grand Prix weekend [braindead] Oh well at least he rang today instead of tomorrow to say 'we're just leaving!'.

FrannyandZooey · 01/08/2008 18:39

posh chocolates
not much to report yet

Guadalupe · 01/08/2008 18:49

Aaaaaaargh - this is a fucking nightmare

It is EVERYWHERE and I have tried so much I can't taste anymore and it's probably rank and none of my pots are big enough and actually, including children, there are 130 people eating.

There will not be enough vegetable quinoi and fattoush style cous cous salad for 130 people. No-one really likes quinoi though do they?

FrannyandZooey · 01/08/2008 18:50

i do

couscous is annoying though
