For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:44

I love pointy. I have told her this in no uncertain terms. Perhaps she loves me back. From afar.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:45

Shyly

pinkspottywellies · 31/07/2008 19:46

Never mind 6. Mrs C. I didn't even make the list

I laughed just now - OB said she can't call her DH by his name any more and MrsC's next post said 'was it limpy?'

I had beans today. Oh and a banana. That may well be it for f&v. I haven't had any dinner.

We went to Ask last night and then to see the new Batman movie. It was good. I felt sad about Heath Ledger though. I think he was beautiful. (Not as the joker though!)

DD wore her fairy dress again today. With blue Tellytubbie wellies (Disclaimer - hand-me-down wellies) (further disclaimer - friend who gave them to me wouldn't have bought them either - must have been given to her!)

Franny, have you got white toast yet? Or shall I hop in the car and head down? Do you want real butter?

Cybil · 31/07/2008 19:46

100x - do you want some crutches? I broke my ankle last year and I still have them cluttering up the hallway. I'm happy to send them on for postage.

BBBee · 31/07/2008 19:46

MrsC - do you remember me saying somethin about you being big sisterly and that you would be making marmalade and tutting at silliness and you got cross because you thought i was saying you were sensible?

The was about a year ago.

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 19:46

Tom did not show me his schlong (i am blushing to type that as is really v rude word isn't it)

FrayedKnot · 31/07/2008 19:47

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 19:48

Guadalupe · 31/07/2008 19:49

that was when I wore an apron, Bbbeee, now I am a mad passionate island, if a little clumpy.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:50

I would like to APOLOGIZE to everyone I FAILED to mention, as well as those I DID mention especially if I made observations that were not entirely healthy.

LurkerLongTime · 31/07/2008 19:52

How long does the amnesty last for then?

I feel a bit nervous.

Shall I list? Do you still do lists?

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:53
  1. PSW made a rather chippy remark about someone running. I remember that. That was in her pre-running days. Perhaps it was then she caught the bug? Right there and then.
ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:53

YY list, let's see what you're made of.

Cybil · 31/07/2008 19:54

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 20:00

Pea patties? What are they?

Actually I'm not in a position to talk about anyone's list. But you probably know that, because your lurk.

  1. Frayed Knot - v. concerned about a) her work trousers and b) the supermarket situation and was trying to walk to a local greengrocer or something. There was mention of a tanning salon, but I don't think you were going in, it was just there.
LurkerLongTime · 31/07/2008 20:03

you mix peas up with potato and herbs and sort of pat them flat and fry them. I eat them with peas.

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 20:08

moving swiftly on
cabbage
carrots
broccoli
cauliflower cheese (2 portions)
pinto beans

a triumphant 6 for dinner

Cybil · 31/07/2008 20:08

I am not a fan of peas.

Oh gosh, why did I chose today to pipe up? Um, um,

Toast - it was white, you are eating that today though, yes?

No lunch, I had a CBT appointment.

Dinner - salad of sorrell, spinach, sesame seeds and marigold leaves. I am nuts about salad.

That's not many portions is it?

FrayedKnot · 31/07/2008 20:09

Now I know why you didn't mention me
