For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Yes, right.
Well.
I am delighted you find it funny. 3 distressed friends, a rash, a croup ridden child. Very amusing indeed. I have been back and I find no humour in these situations. Thank you.

Is that ok?

Gah - I can't find it, was it when my sister got drunk and dropped the baby? It could have been pig farm friend as she cries A LOT.

Boco · 31/07/2008 18:59

He does sound nice. I think that's true bee, and also the sort of thing that you would say too. I do like it when you do positive spin.

Guadalupe · 31/07/2008 19:00

this vegetable won't take brushing, it needs beating.

Now Bbbee is at it!!

Boco · 31/07/2008 19:01

My short sentences were only in jest y'know, because MrsC likes them.

Boco · 31/07/2008 19:01

Inviting people to beat your vegetables is unusual isn't it.

BBBee · 31/07/2008 19:12

yes - but scarily normal on here.

you know franny said we had lurkers - we can't really have lurkers can we - would they really read all this and not be able to contribute?

100 is erudite.

Boco · 31/07/2008 19:15

Do you think we could have a lurker amnesty, where people have to show themselves, even briefly?

Lets have one now.

If you lurk here - SHOW YOURSELVES!

LurkerLongTime · 31/07/2008 19:28

Hello

I like peas

LurkerLongTime · 31/07/2008 19:32

and my favourite fruit is coconut.

BBBee · 31/07/2008 19:33

that is so not a lurker - that is TF or someone.

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 19:34

lol lurkerlongtime

afternoon oh darn it, is evening
have slept for 4 hours while ds1 at Gnorman friend

100 I thought your thread summary was very pithy and got right to the heart of things

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:35

If it is a lurker, then I'd just like to make the socially inappropriate comment that if that is the best she can do, then just as well she lurks.

[smiles broadly at LTL]

Policywonk lurks. Like a mad, obsessed sort of person.

Cybil · 31/07/2008 19:36

Hi there

I have had some orange juice, a banana, and a Waldorf salad at lunchtime. I make that five portions. They didn't make the salad properly, there were no walnuts.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:36

I reckon oi lurks too, though she'd SO SWEAR she didn't.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:36

Oh.

Hello.

How nice?

Don't you think Franny is funny Cybil?

Boco · 31/07/2008 19:37

We caught one!

Hmm yeah, you would say that franny, because she said you were FUNNY. If she'd called you a malingerer you'd have put the security fence back on and got this place shut down.

Cybil · 31/07/2008 19:39

She is very funny, yes, you are all quite bonkers. In a good way.

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 19:39

an MNHQ regular lurks
oh yes

loads of people lurk
cod
pointy

everyone

if you come on and say your leg has fell off everyone suddenly posts

Boco well quite. but she is so insightful don't you think

FrannyandZooey · 31/07/2008 19:40

do we believe in Cybil? how can we check these lurkers' credentials?

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:41

Oh FGS.

My leg has just fallen off.

What the hell do I do about it?

Also the phone keeps ringing and dd is coughing and I don't know what to do about my leg.

Guadalupe · 31/07/2008 19:42

oooh, lurkers, come in!

Franny - you would think it funny and insightful because you are hilarious. Boco is ill and I am blank. Devoid of comment.

BBBee · 31/07/2008 19:42

did tom draw franny and her dp was jealous or did I dream it?

I think it is rather queer that when you have had a baby people can freely question you about your breasts, bits, sex life and mood.

The next time someone asks you Franny ask then how theirs are, then draw a picture of tom's sclong and show it to him and ask if you have got it about right. Or even better that DS's model and pretend you made it. (you never told us how big ti was - but boco says I am not allowed to ask that.)

vegetablefan · 31/07/2008 19:42

Hi there I have been lurking for some time enjoying these threads.

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:42

[waits nervously for flood of concern]

ahundredtimes · 31/07/2008 19:43
  1. MrsC - rather surprisingly going to DisneyLand and very sniffily packing oatcakes. So not there all that much.
