For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

filthymindedvixen · 28/07/2008 22:07

UR, wishing you a miracle or two
TooT - wishing you a splendiferous holiday
Franny - That sculpture looks just like a big ol' cock!

Everyone else - love and kisses xx

IdrisTheDragon · 28/07/2008 22:29

Hello

Just saw Franny's DS1's creation

I love the bright colourful stripes that DS2 is wearing . He does look very much bigger than mine were at that age but I suppose he is.

Have a lovely holiday TooT

On the Katherine front, DH has a sister called Catherine, and his brother married a Catherine. So seeing as SIL type person and I both changed our surname to the DH/BIL one there are three of us with the same name (although I am the only one spelled correctly of course ).

I hardly met any other ones at school but then there were loads at university.

UnderRated · 29/07/2008 04:50

Thank you all for being lovely and letting me rant. Am going to have a good sleep and wake up and be nice tomorrow. Spoke with BF tonight and he said he wondered if he'd done something to upset me because when he walked in I had my hand on my hip but when he gave me the rose I seemed ok so he wasn't sure. I didn't tell him I was actually quite pissed off Not sure why I was so gutless. It will happen again and I will say something next time.

Redcurrants, peach, juice, spinach, nectarine and I think there had been a vegetable near my pizza.

BBBee · 29/07/2008 08:09

hope you are rested UR

have a lovely holiday tooties.

We have a dull day of tidying and then strolling into town if weather holds up.

If anyone thinks I can get a camping slot in site next week please come and enthuse.

franny - he continues to be sweetly divine - an my what a talented brother he has! What did he claim it was?

filthymindedvixen · 29/07/2008 08:32

heavy rain here and I have to go to work

MamaG · 29/07/2008 08:40

Idris read my post from 20.52

Boco · 29/07/2008 09:22

UR hope you're ok.

Franny the big cock is incredible. Maybe he was inspired by the wolf man who drank from a horn? He could certainly get a holiday job with him I'm sure, if you need to bring in a bit of extra cash.

BBBee · 29/07/2008 09:25

is it wrong of me to be very interested in exactly how big this cock is - I mean you couldn't tell from the photo.

Boco · 29/07/2008 09:27

Oh no that's a perfectly reasonable question Bee. You pervert.

BBBee · 29/07/2008 09:34

at least I am not making inferences about drinking from it.

BBBee · 29/07/2008 09:36

I did such an embarrasing thing on pink's chocolate thread where i remembered something that had happened in 'friend's' but couldn't remember exaclty where I hear it and said it was 'either one of my friends or someone famous'.

I feel that i may have lost the hang of this mumsnetting lark.

KAPOWWW

MamaG · 29/07/2008 10:25

My sister is Catherine

Boco · 29/07/2008 10:42

Why does everybody keep talking about Catherine?

BBBee · 29/07/2008 11:15

ah - there is a spelling dispute I think. I am siding with catherine.

TigerFeet · 29/07/2008 11:17

Sorry my fault

It started with the names of people shining torches up veggers' fanjos which turned into a discussion on 70's girls' names which turned into a discussion on the correct spelling.

^^ see - a line, drawn under it

No f&v today. I left my lunch on the kitchen worktop this morning and the best I will find for lunch will be a ham sandwich.

Yesterday was better, about 8 portions I think.

Back on track now

BBBee · 29/07/2008 11:18

didn't you do that yesterday as well tiger?

TigerFeet · 29/07/2008 11:22

Yes I did

I ate it for tea yesterday as it was still in the fridge

Today it is on the worktop (I progressed one stage further) so it will be nicely warm and fruity by the time I get home (twas salad and a selectin of fruity loveliness)

Arse bugger bollocks

Am clearly a fuckwit [sigh]

A HUNGRY and MALNOURISED fuckwit.

OsmosisBanana · 29/07/2008 11:26

How best can I punish DH for not coming home last night and still not being home and not texting me or anything???

I had toyed with the idea of playing the 'nice' card which I use when he has been really bad as it totally flummoxes him. I am beyond that today.

I was thinking about not cooking any dinner for him for starters. But I need something with pizazz

FrannyandZooey · 29/07/2008 11:38

oh tigerfeet, leaving nice food behind is tragic

we gave ds2 a bath and he SMILED
he ruddy did, he BEAMED
then he spent about 10 mins trying to drink the flaky skin water (presumably in belief it would be like amniotic fluid?)
he was quite insistent about doing it
his skin is still terrible - partly from being post mature and partly from dehydration last week I think
it's like cuddling Michael Gambon half the time

FrannyandZooey · 29/07/2008 11:39

fruit salad
we had brunch
there were croissants and stuff
huzzah

MrsJohnCusack · 29/07/2008 11:46

i've just read all your things about DS2 franny and I'm sorry you've had such a time of it

he sounds scrummy. hoep all is ok now

FrannyandZooey · 29/07/2008 11:52

thank you mrsJC he is scrummy
