For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

My 'Tom' is called Debbie and last time I had a smear I was laughing so much she said I nearly shot the speculum out!! She had told me her last patient had left her knickers on! So I said perhaps she'd worn crotchless ones especially

berolina · 28/07/2008 17:12

Oh OB poor love. That is crap.

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 17:44

HOw odd, TF. My friend at school was Cath-Errr-ine and my aunt is Catharine. The others are all Kat or Katy. I don't know one Catherine (of any spelling) in the US.

I'm surprised the Beeman wouldn't move them, Guadalupe. I know you can't with bats because they are protected. Are bees? You'd think with the nest being so close to kids play equipment and the possibility of an allergic reaction would mean it might be ok to move them.

@ car, OB

LOL @ crotchless knickers for smear. I hate that word. It's called a Pap here which is just as bad.

Spent morning in Lake with fish. Lots of them. And water was crystal clear. Was lovley.

Redcurrants, spinach, grapefruit cake

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 17:44

Lovely pics, Franny

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 17:53

Gorgeous pics Fran

There were loads of Catherines or derivatives thereof at my school. There was a total of about 50 girls in my year and the year above, of which 3 were Catherine, 2 were Katherine and one was Katharine. Also a Katie and a Kayte.

I hate cars too. I would love to be able to get rid of mine. Sympathies OB.

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 18:01

Kayte is interesting. I was one of many too (but not a Kathryn or variation of), which was ironic as my mum picked my name when she was 13 and had never heard anyone with it. Also Sarah was popular.

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 18:05

Yes, Kayte is, erm, interesting isn't it? I think I know your name - I have you as a friend on FB although I can't remember who's who . Your name, my name, Sarah, Jane and Rachel covered pretty much everyone I think

DD is going to have this problem. She is the only one in her nursery class but there are three others at nursery and we meet children with her name everywhere we go. We had no idea that it was so popular when we chose it, although tbh we probably would have stuck with it anyway - it was the only name we could agree on.

TooTicky · 28/07/2008 18:08

Ooh good, more pics Dd2 will be delighted.

The odd posts earlier were ds2 btw.

OP posts:
UnderRated · 28/07/2008 18:11

DS will have this problem too, I think. His is spelt the traditional way but there is a common yet incorrect alternative spelling. Didn't really think about it when we named him - we couldn't agree on anything else and it is a name with meaning for us so he's stuck with it.

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2008 18:15

I'm so glad you said that TF - I can't remember who everyone is on FB either!! I still haven't accepted Os-Ba (I like that!) Still deciding whether to keep you veggers. There are more than I thought!

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2008 18:16

lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, carrot, red pepper, avocado, chickpeas

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 18:26

I get confused about people on FB too. I never go on these days.

FrayedKnot · 28/07/2008 18:38

Lol at crotchless knickers! I wish i'd heard that before I went otday - was feeling rather sweaty in the waiting room.

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 19:45

Does anyone else feel rather disappointed when you think you've had a good F&V day and you list it on here and it is actually nowhere near as good as you thought?

UnderRated · 28/07/2008 19:47

Am feeling rather despondent. I need a miracle make-everything-better potion or something. Or a kick up the arse would do. I hate it when I feel crappy and don't want to and can't seem to shake it off

whinge whinge moan moan woe is me

FrayedKnot · 28/07/2008 19:49

I use "preview message", UR
