For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Oh Catharine - how funny

I was talking to someone this morning about the various ways of spelling that name and I said that I had never seen it spelled "Catharine". I have now.

Guadalupe · 28/07/2008 14:44

bumble bees. I like them too, that's why I called a bee man rather than a poison man but I was hoping he would say he will smoke them out into a pot and take them home to a country field where they will live happily ever after.

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 14:45

Come on then TooT

We could stand in my garden and swear fruitily at one another in putty-offy-neighbourly sort of way

TigerFeet · 28/07/2008 14:48

"I bought this mango and it was CUNTING"

I always fancied myself as a bee keeper - I would be crap though. I am a dyed-in-the-wool coward when it comes to stuff like that.

berolina · 28/07/2008 14:48

My Tom/Catharine is called Antonia and has an assistant called Sister Christiane. She is not handsome but very nice and businesslike and good at predicting birth dates.

TooTicky · 28/07/2008 15:02

I dream of keeping bees
But I want to have such a way with bees that they instinctively love me so that I don't have to wear one of those suits.

Tom didn't have a twinkle, no. He was a man looking up my twinkle.

Oh! I see.

No, he was earnest and a little bit intense and ever so ever so tall. And handsome. Did I mention that bit yet?

He found all my ruddy stitches are falling out (this is what happened with ds1 and I had to be completely and horribly redone) but that he thinks it will be ok and not flap. Much. I had to ask about the likely extent of flappage. It was dreadful for both of us, really - poor Tom.

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2008 15:31

banana
blueberries
raisins

TooTicky · 28/07/2008 15:31

About the stitches not the fruit.

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2008 15:34

I think it is ok, TooT. Most of it has healed up already - and they think the rest will just knit together in time. It was different with ds as there was a ruddy great episiotomy cut. This was just a few grazes and bits.

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2008 15:35

and if anyone didn't want to know that, sorry
it was TooT led me on again

TooTicky · 28/07/2008 15:36

You started it.
Glad you're not going to fall to bits anyway.

Glad you're home, Franny.

We went to Bournemouth beach on satirday just for a tiny bit.
And to my mum's yesterday where the girls squeeled int he paddling pool!!!!
And I got to cuddle my neice again

My sister's dp is in the RAF and was due back at base, but has mamnaged to get another fortnight off.
I am so pleased as my poor sister was in tears about hum going back.

Dd2 had her mumps jab today - she said she'd be brave and only cry a bit. Then asked the doctor to do the injection gently.
At least it was the last one.

Wagamama's for lunch.

berolina · 28/07/2008 16:13

2 oranges, banana, raisins, apple, toms, cucumber, lettuce

OsmosisBanana · 28/07/2008 16:36

Someone has opened their car door into mine whilst it's been parked and left a fucking great big scratch / dent in it. I couldn't take out the 'accidental damage' cover they offered me when they gave me the courtesy car as we don't have a fully functioning bank card...

So £250 out the window. Am going to try and do spectacular botch job with a scratch repair kit but it's quite bad. Hopefully it will rain so much tomorrow the chap doesn't look it over properly.

No time to read thread, have car to mend and people to shout at, hope you all had good weekends...

JESUS!!!! Just heard the loudest thunderbolt. Maybe my prayers have been answered....

MamaG · 28/07/2008 16:37

What a fucking bastard os-ba

OsmosisBanana · 28/07/2008 17:00

Os-ba.... I like it. Sounds like I should be in the Wizard of Oz.

Chucking it down with rain here so no botch jobbing yet... I now have 5 loads of washing I thought I was in with a chance of drying today scattererd around the house.

The worst part is, DH had just given me £200 to go and sort myself out with some clothes that actually fit and weren't designed with January in mind. I have had to give it back to him coz he thinks the scratch is my fault.

Ah well.

TooTicky · 28/07/2008 17:03
