For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

is he all lovely and sleepy and perfect? You are perfect anyway.

I am quite scared of cows. If we are doing a walk that happens to involve crossing a field with cows in it I come over all pathetic and start speed walking, then breaking into a trot and then sprinting across the field waving my arms above my head and wailing.

They don't just look at you funny, they are funny. Especially Fresians. Or whatever those great big black and white bricks on legs are called with giant udders.

I still feel sorry for them though.

ahundredtimes · 18/07/2008 16:49

Yes they are called Fresians. I know this now. They escaped through a gate at one point, and the farmer and family were away and we looked at them, and they looked at us, and my friend waved boots at them, and then they stared and then they talked about us. They did.

I quite like them in principle. They seem well-meaning. There were lots of animals there. On the farm. Slightly too many. But aside from the farm aspect of the farm holiday, we all had a good time really.

My friend and I made a den in the woods.

OsmosisBanana · 18/07/2008 16:53

Nice, I like a good den.

OI'm looking forward to DD being old enough for me to make one help her with

ahundredtimes · 18/07/2008 16:55

Hmm. Well. Thing was ds1 and friend's dd1 were building a den, and other three were playing and we were sitting on a log and she said 'let's make a den too' and I agreed. And it was marvellous, and very clever with good sticks, and weaving and weft and proper walls, and dd came along and wanted to help and we told her to go away .

So, um, yes.

Then I had to pretend I was making it for her to have when it was finished.

ahundredtimes · 18/07/2008 16:57

Right. Now, if you've not got too much to do Fra, I'd like some pics soonish please.

LullyOfShallot · 18/07/2008 17:10

UnderRated · 18/07/2008 17:45

littlerach · 18/07/2008 17:52

Arse.

he really is, Lully.
And you are so lovely.

OsmosisBanana · 18/07/2008 19:25

That is really shite Lully.

Any thoughts on what you are going to do or say? Does he know at all how ridiculous he is being?

On a more self-congratulatory note, I just ran for 5 mins longer than I usually do. I am red like a beetroot, does looking like a veg count at all?

OsmosisBanana · 18/07/2008 19:26

Lully, do you need a new handbag? Or shoes? Reckon you might you know

OsmosisBanana · 18/07/2008 19:29

sorry, not very funny.

UnderRated · 18/07/2008 19:34

Thanks OB.

I'd love some beetroot, Avi. I decided not to grow any this year and am regretting it.

TooTicky · 18/07/2008 20:02

UR, you can but when you unfreeze it it is chewier, like aberage or whatever it is.

Lully, I don't know what to say, I really don't.

Three of my children are outside roaring and squirting water.

We had an extra baby all day today,. Such a smiley little thing. Like this

Hello everybody.

UnderRated · 18/07/2008 20:09

Hello Toot

I don't know what aberage is but the tofu is in the freezer so I expect I shall find out soon.

Glad you had a smiley baby. I have 2 mindees here but they are both fast asleep I'm going to see a lovely baby tonight - I worry though, because his legs are all chubby and juicy and I always want to bite them (gently, obviously). He belongs to BF's friends and when I confessed to BF he laughed. I hope he didn't tell the parents; I don't really want to be known as a baby biter.

Where's Franny gone? She's hardly posted at all today. Anyone would think she had Something Important to do

I'm sooo tired. And just a little bit crotchety.

OsmosisBanana · 18/07/2008 20:09

Anyone love the film 'Some Kind of Wonderful' and the end music??

Please tell me I'm not the only weirdo?

I loves it

TooTicky · 18/07/2008 20:16

OB, I haven't seen that for years!! I feel almost young again

UR, I am tired and crotchetty too. Lots of people seem to be atm, don't know why.

TooTicky · 18/07/2008 20:17

ABERAGE IS THE FRIED "BEANCURD" YOU GET IN cHINESE FOOD.

TooTicky · 18/07/2008 20:17

Oops.

UnderRated · 18/07/2008 20:24

Maybe it's a Full Moon thing, Toot? Or premenstrual, perhaps?

OB, I've never seen that film.

TooTicky · 18/07/2008 20:26

I'm only just post-menstrual. Full moon maybe.
