For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg herehere and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Think my sister and BIL are going to have to declare themselves bankrupt.

You know how news types keep banging on about new develpoments in Leeds / Manchester being the worst hit by the housing market probs? That is where their flat is, which they can't sell, is in negative equity and NRock have just bumped up the payments by a further £450 a month. To add to which, they bought a house in Derby last year where they have been relocated to which needs completely doing up.

To add to which BIL is a mortgage advisor (not much work going round ATM funnily enough).

Feel scared for them. I would offer them my savings but I don't think £112.40 would go very far.

OsmosisBanana · 17/07/2008 11:48

2 bananas

LullyOfShallot · 17/07/2008 11:56

Ah well I'm beyond caring really
but I would like to be in Devon rather than here surrounded by grubby men with hairy builders bums ripping out my windows ,drinking tea & using my loo

He has been considerably better with ds
& not drinking
& making some efforts
I have been rather lulled into a false sense of security.

If I were were well the decision would be easy really, but my body is doing funny things at the moment & everything is a bit unpredictable & up in the air.
Ds is also daddy infatuated & sticks to him like a limpet when he is here.

TigerFeet · 17/07/2008 12:10

When he gets back can you disappear off yourself?

for you

LullyOfShallot · 17/07/2008 12:20

No ,we just had a night away with my grandmother in London .That was a lovely break.
He's so cowardly that he couldn't even tell me till this morning.

He left ex 16 yrs ago & she still cant accept it
& he still feels guilty.
He gave her the house & contents & only took his clothes but still feels badly about it all.
She is nearly 10 yrs older than him & still sends him cards with LYFA on them. I dont think I ever wrote that even as a smitten teenager.
Ah well

TooTicky · 17/07/2008 12:24

LYFA?
