For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg herehere and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Packing for the festival, off in a couple of hours. It's pouring with rain, we have a borrowed tent the size of an olympic stadium and will be putting it up in the rain. Ah well, at least we're going. Took dd back to gp one last time this morning because of wheeze - he thinks we should go for it and can come home if we need to.

Good luck Franny, by the time I come back on Monday you will have had a baby! I'm totally sure. Guadalupe will you text me news please?

Oh Bero, I hate rude people who don't say thank you when you hold a door or something. It's even worse when they do it to children. DS says 'Hello' to everybody we pass and so many people ignore him. It wouldn't hurt to nod and say, 'Hi' would it?

Sorry about your face, zippi

Lully

TooTicky · 17/07/2008 13:51

and at people ignoring UR and Bero's dses.

Dd1 was ignored once at the zoo. Aged all of two, she overheard some people discussing the "zebras". She lost no time in pointing out to them that they were okapis

People in Sweden are v. friendly. When ds1 was about 4, he was so taken with the novelty of a new greeting, that he shouted "Hej-hej!" at everybody and got lots of smiles and replies.

Is it going to rain?

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 14:01

LOL when ds used to say "hello!" to everyone and get ignored, I would say loudly "never mind darling, not everyone is as polite and friendly as you are"

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 14:02

dunno about going to TooT, it is here

shall i walk into town anyway and see my glowy lady for some magic water homeopathic stuff?

UnderRated · 17/07/2008 14:20

I'm going to use that line next time, Franny. When people don't say 'thank you' when you hold a door I really have to resist the temptation to say it really loudly for them but that seems a bit passive aggressive. And it is what my mother does.

Guadalupe · 17/07/2008 14:26

I have taken note of that phrase too, Franny, very good!

Lully - what can you say? On no planet in anyone's relationship is it acceptable for him to go and stay with his ex as she's 'down', and she should be told very clearly by him not to sign her cards so spectacularly inappropriately. You know this. Sorry you have to keep dealing with it.

Boco - of course I will text. Have a fantastic time.

LOL avi! I like your style.

Tatties · 17/07/2008 15:44

Agree with Avi - what would happen if the tables were turned?

OsmosisBanana · 17/07/2008 15:55

ouch. painful fruity rumblings in my tummy.

Ate v large bowl of leftover 3 bean chilli

Then a very large punnet of cherries.

I feel very sorry for the people sharing my office. I'm going to go and hide in the shredding room.

FrannyandZooey · 17/07/2008 16:00

I would move a current lover in never mind an ex one
it works for Tilda Swinton

filthymindedvixen · 17/07/2008 16:15

oh Boco, hope it stays dry for you, have a wonderful weekend....

pinkspottywellies · 17/07/2008 16:28

Lully he's unbelievable

Tatties, do you have an FE college near you? My sil is doing a reflexology course and they have clients in every week to practice on. I think they pay about £7.

OB very kind of you to think of offering BIL your savings
