For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg herehere and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We know that's not you Fran because the bump isn;t nearly big enough

Has it changed shape, now you've got that coconutty feeling?

I didn;t have anyone near my fanjo until the MW said

"we need to get you into the delivery suite as soon as possible MrsFK you are further on than we thought"

I don;t remember pooing

which porbably means it happened along with DS

TigerFeet · 16/07/2008 20:43

The first time someone stuck their arm Herriott-style up me fanjo I was in labour, in hospital and 6cm dilated. THis came as something of a shock to the mw's as they didn't think I was in established labour and I think they thought I was making a lot of fuss over nothing. They went from patting me on the head doing the "there there MrsFeet you'll be aaages yet" to "My word you have done so well getting this far with no pain relief"

berolina · 16/07/2008 21:14

do birth balling, Franny (as opposed to birth bawling, which hopefully will not be too far off. Unless you want a serene labour. IME with ds2 (no pain relief whatsoever) screaming was an excellent thing).

Yellow plum blue plum apple. Tomato and basil sauce (dses and I got home this afternoon - from the zoo and the ceramics painting place to paint a surprise for dh's birthday - to find that dh had been there entirely unexpectedly and made the sauce before heading off again ) on pasta. Today's total - 7.5. Much, much, much walking.

filthymindedvixen · 16/07/2008 21:22

Tatties · 16/07/2008 21:29

Hello [excited]

OsmosisBanana · 16/07/2008 21:43

DH has just announced we should go to Butlins for a weekend. Am I wrong to be concerned by this?

Should be in AIBU right?

I did so many poos when DD was born. And it was the thing I was most paranoid about. Sigh.

Tis the main thing I remember about being handed her afterwards.... Not a sweet smelling baby.

Sorry, way TMI.

Feeling quite despondent tonight. Again. Logging off.

Hope all goes well Fran

I avoided fanjo rummaging because she was the first midwife I saw and I had just arrived in hospital. DD was out within the hour [speed birthing]

I went to the cinema tonight but the film was sold out when we got there so we went to Tesco my local 24 hour organic, fairtrade, 10/10 grocer. I got a rubber ring for dd.

they send an e-voucher, instantly if you want them to, and the person can choose plants or garden accessories or whatever
