For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FK did you try saying "ooh dear you ARE feeling cross aren't you" and carrying on reading the paper?

your ds seems like a very self restrained little person to me - I would imagine letting him break out in some form of 'badness' would be ok

zippitippitoes · 10/07/2008 19:12

i have been to the ym and swim ewhioch is the first time in ages

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 19:13

yy I did Loopy
we didn't know what the dickens they were
I was going to start a thread then decided they were just mutants and lobbed them when dp wasn't looking

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:14

well, I'm not exactly sure what I'll do with it, slice it slowly into salad maybe

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 19:16

or evict it as the dangerous mutant vegetable we all know it to be

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:17

well, i don't have compost so it would be PURE WASTE

Boco · 10/07/2008 19:18

Ha ha, was looking at the Latitude children's area bit and the girls are both on there - dd1 looking slightly humiliated in her feathery hat creation, and dd2 with such messy hair it looks vaguely mullety, waving some kind of stick.
here they are

LullyOfShallot · 10/07/2008 19:22

i take it Fmv that you are horrified by top & too polite to say so
I shall put it in the charity shop bag.

I bought it in my teens to freak out my ex when he told me to dress appropriately for a do at The Royal Naval college.

send ME the mutant springg onions next time
I love em

LullyOfShallot · 10/07/2008 19:24

Awwwwww they are gorgeous

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 19:25

oh I want to go
lovely pictures
that science in a suitcase thing was the people who humiliated made great use of Mr Avi by getting him to pretend to be the sun in a solar system, I think

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 19:28

Fab pics Boco - what pretty girls.

LOL @ Lully's top to horrify ex

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 19:29

oh Lully, sorry, I forgot that bit

Erm, if it didn't have the erm, slogan on, I'd be very tempted.....
But, you know the top, would I like it?

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 19:31

pmsl at your reason for buying the top

LullyOfShallot · 10/07/2008 19:32

As a dressing up top fmv.....not for evening wear
I didn't actually ever wear it out to be honest

LullyOfShallot · 10/07/2008 19:33

honestly....

I used to have ummm eclectic taste in clothes
but never that weird

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:36

I haven't used all of last weeks bananas, they are black. Time for cake. Except I can't eat it, am on a diet. Dh will be pleased. He has gone to heathrow to collect his brother from thailand who will thankfully be coming to collect his manvan called warrior. Boco and Franny will know all about this. What with the campervan and our volvo, the neighbours have raised a brow.

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 19:41

at MrsC upsetting the cutain twitchers with her volvo and campervan

I like the term eclectic. I was trying to explain to someone what I was like as a teenager - there was mention of bells on floaty skirts, tie die and beads and little mirrors. Eclectic would have been much better.

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 19:46

lol UR, me too. But add in some Victoriana Goth (think Morning Coat worn over black lacey skirts with white patticoats and hobnail boots) and a good dollop of charity shop paisley....

I still am a little eclectic, I fear.

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 19:50

HObnail boots - I want some!

I am much more conformist these days but I may have to go and buy some floaty eclectic clothing in the coming weeks. And incense.

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 19:55

I have a double life...

Monsoon linen skirts and ballet shoes for work and raggle-taggle old hippy for weekends. It really upsets some of the Playground Muffia as they can't work out where to pigeonhole me.

Lully I nearly bought that top when DH was in the Navy!

Hi all!

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 19:59

yes I am extremely envious of Latitude, it looks amazing!

Boco · 10/07/2008 20:12

I loved it last year. I'm really a wimpy festival goer, I hate sleeping in a tent and the whole toilet thing and not having a nice bath and mud and other people - so was very surprised to have loved it - but it was small and very friendly and the toilets weren't awful and we all had such a good time.

zippitippitoes · 10/07/2008 20:12

i am very jealous latitude is the one i wanted to go to
