For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

12:30 here, Toot. I'm 6 hrs behind,

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 18:32

put banana next to pineapple. Banan makes things ripen. Which I never remember until all my fruit goes off quickly....

ahundredtimes · 10/07/2008 18:32

Is there action?

I have had TWO emails Mrs Fra summoning me to attend. And now I find you talking about apples?

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:32

OH MY GOD I finally thought to google him and get this:

"over 150 varieties of apple grown, available from the farm shop or in mixed seasonal 71b, 81b, 131b or 201b boxes by mail order"

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:32

oh 100
nothing is happening of course
I can give details you don't want about mucus if you like?

ahundredtimes · 10/07/2008 18:33

[rests case emoticon]

It seems not? Tonight perhaps?

I have a date to watch St Trinians with dc. Somehow I don't think you're going to have a baby in the next 2 hours? If you do, then we can call it Apple.

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 18:34

I am so moving to your town Franny. You have everything. Children's festivals. Councils who sell old boats. Apple men. Humph.

ahundredtimes · 10/07/2008 18:34

Ah, yes, well maybe tonight? Do you think it might be a four o'clock in the morning thing?

Right. Well, it's good to know that the early warning signal is in place and works. Am off to watch St T's. Rest well Mrs Fra.

It's exciting isn't it?

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:36

aaaargh just found text from SIL referring to show being good news
ruddy dp has been texting people about my cervix without my permission

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 18:36

Apple man sounds good -our orchard has about 25 different kinds of apple. And you get to ride in a wagon on the back of a tractor to go and pick them

Things don't ripen well in the fridge but it is so hot, they rot if you leave them out, I can't seem to find any middle ground.

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:37

maybe tomorrow 100
it WAS exciting but then nothing at all happened
except dp broadcasting details of my bodily fluids
enjoy the film

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 18:37

DS2 was most civilised Franny. Went to bed early (knacjkered) Had very very wierd dreams. Woke up at 6 with the hint of contractions....had bath, made cuppa tea for DH, gently woke him with the news labour had started, went to hosp about 9am, baby born at around 1pm....

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:38

put them in and out of the fridge every half an hour UR
it'll take your mind off being so tired

lionheart · 10/07/2008 18:38

Hello, 10/10ers, just signing in and sneaking a peek.

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 18:38

Apple for a girl, Johnny for a boy (from the story about Johnny Appleseed), I think.

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 18:38

yes I want one like that please FMF
would be super thanks

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 18:40

I predict that a baby will be born soon round these parts

Oooh, there is also an aubergine and an avocado.

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 18:40

in the box not the ball

UnderRated · 10/07/2008 18:41

FMF, what a civilised labour. Has DS2 remained so good?

Pineapple out of the fridge now

filthymindedvixen · 10/07/2008 18:42

it was a huge contrast from ds1 who caused me a 24 hour labour, refusing all efforts to coax him out

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:00

what do you do with tennis ball sized spring onions?

FrayedKnot · 10/07/2008 19:05

LOL at MrsC seeing an aubergine and an avocado in the crystal ball...perhaps the baby will be delivered in a veg box?

Yay to Boco's head.

DS has been shouting again

Strawberries
Huge bowl of cauliflower with tomato and spices and red lentil dhal with coconut. And I made naan bread which was a triumph.

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 19:10

OMG THAT was what those huge green things were in the veg box
spring onions
I was scared and composted them

zippitippitoes · 10/07/2008 19:11

bocos head is strangely funny

no baby yet

for goodness sake my second one i just got up and went to the loo and that was it

had to push her back in till the midwife arrived

who was mainly cross at not having had the chance to sort out her uniform

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:11

did you?

They look like a cross between a leek, spring onion and a shotput.
