For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tatties I don't think anyone does it all right, and wouldn't even if you could do it all again. And I'm sure you've done everything fabulously

Bero, that is wonderful. I'm sure you'll be absolutely brilliant and I bet you'll be in hot demand, particularly because of the language specialism. Congratulations on finding something that's got you really fired up! I nearly went to bed 20 mins ago but glad I didn't now. Now I'm off to bed.

Night all x

TooT - you would fare well, even though you have 4 childer folk which must make you 96. Crazy lady.

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 23:06

Avi, nobody in their right mind would mistake you for a grandmother.

My friend is an 'older' mother but she also went grey (hair) in her 30's. She was asked at the swimming pool the other week if she was her children's nan It seems ridiculous to me because I know her and because of her personality and outlook it never occured to me to think of her as older.

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 23:08

Oh heck. A list? I am bad at those.

S'not about age.

Tatties can't be a babber if she's talking about doing those over again and doing things differently. Way sensible. Or have you been watching Juno or summat?

Tatties · 12/07/2008 23:10

Oh avi you will have me bawling but thank you for saying that. I have found motherhood so much harder than I expected

LOL at popcorn

pinkspottywellies · 12/07/2008 23:10

Yes that too Avi, I can't imagine anyone would mistake you for a grandmother

Didn't BBB do a list in order of veggerness a while ago and leave me people out and upset me people whoeatbaconsandwiches who were at the bottom? Be careful OB.

pinkspottywellies · 12/07/2008 23:11

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 23:12

everyone (and ) I think my shyness is just this idea that I have that I couldn't do that... I'm independently writing an academic book atm on a related area, and I think I always thought of myself as quite theoretical and so on, but as much as I love research it never quite got me completely - I adored doing my doctorate (literary/gendery topic) but ran out of research steam after that - I always wanted a Vocation as well, something where I could feel I was making a real and immediate difference, and then there was all the language stuff which I ended up doing over here - and now with my plans (book, doula, language work) all three strands are coming together into one and I feel very positive about it
