For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

zippitippitoes · 12/07/2008 15:52

when i split with my exh i was deluded enough to start an interior design business...i had to try and think of something to make money

bizarrely it actually did make money

i am rather embarrassed about it now

i spent a whole christmas making blinds and curtainss for that room they were beautiful

LullyOfShallot · 12/07/2008 15:56

embarrassed why?
You are obviously a very muti talented lady

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:05

I would like to remind everyone that I said the 15th July at 7am ages ago and franny was all like 'no it won't be that long'

I think I am an oracle. I am the second daughter AND I have a cat.

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:06

you know a bit of a way down the thread boco was telling a story of her DD saying 'blasted mummy' and when boco enquired said DD replied 'well that is what you call the cat'

Boco says blasted. She is so making herself up. 'tis a mucky trucker for sure.

Can we have a go at making baby related fruity titles for when it all happens on tuesday?

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 16:09

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:11

no you are not franny you silly goose.

do visualisation of flowers opening and stuff. it is nice an relaxing. I think it only has an effect on your cervix if you are a hardcore hippy.

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:13

oh you are supposed to have loads of sex - I remember thinking 'yeah right like that is really what I want to do'

oh and a midwife does a 'sweep' (sadly not round the kitchen floor) - it is all coming back to me.

I was threatened with induction both times but did it myslef. In your face NHS.

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 16:16

yes have done all that
the horse looking in the car window was more fun than the sex though

Tatties · 12/07/2008 16:17

It will be ok Franny. You have had a show so your body is getting ready

zippitippitoes · 12/07/2008 16:20

i had a plate of about a 1lb of liver the night before dd2

but i think that isa banned these days

my neighbour had the pleasure of clearing it up from my bedroom after the birth

boak

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:22

yes of coure you have done all those things - silly me. Am not up to date with the thread.

The night before I went into labour with DD I ate 6 apples. For the first three hours of labour (active labour in hospital) I kept saying to the midwife 'it might not be labour it might just be all these apples i have eaten.'

Bbbee · 12/07/2008 16:23

do the visulaistion thing again as it is really funny.

LullyOfShallot · 12/07/2008 16:28

Franny do you have anyone that does bowen treatment near you?
It is supposed to be very useful at 40 weeks because it has a deeply sedating effect, helps to melt away anxiety & promotes natural initiation of labour. Coccyx move is especially useful at term.

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 16:35

Just back from swimming and discovered nice little fair thing where you had to pay for things with beans and went to different library and small museum and have been very hungry and thirsty.

What is happening?

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 16:37

Hello

My neighbours are having a big party, with all the scary villagers. Have been invited, because it's kind of in my drive, we're penned in by it - but it's slightly intimidating - there's already been one fight and it's only half six. The girls got dressed up, went to the gate to stare, and someone said 'i hate little fucking kids' and they ran home screaming. They were quite thrilled.

I went to a children's party this afternoon - which was more of a family thing, the relatives were all discussing the fact that the country is going to the dogs because of Polish immigrants and their lawless knife wielding ways. Am having quite a strange day.

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 18:44

lettuce, basil, cucumber, tomato, avocado, chickpea salad

stand in doula rang me and said 'do more sex'
