For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Juno was the first time I got to go to the cinema after DD born so is an all hallowed thing. I LOVE THAT FILM SO MUCH.

I don't normally 'do' the cinema but it is now a many splendoured thing, now that I can't go.

Filo parcels were VG. Didn't turn into spanneredkopita.

I have to gird the loins. Have been putting DH off for some unknown reason. Going to refrain from talking about it though as I know I get myself into terrible trouble with these conversations.

Hope all well. Full of spinach and filo and fear here.

Hello TooT, CabbageSleeves, OB

FrannyandZooey · 11/07/2008 22:28

hello is that Henry VIII's bint? no news yet, sorry
why are you incognito
all these namechangers freak me out

TooT I like 'exploits' very much just because I like Daddy Jones' party - probably my favourite Moomin set piece of all. The rest is v bitty I must admit - the ghost is fab but I think over the head of a 5 year old - I think MOST is over the head of a 5 year old - but Comet somehow works because it is more of a classic adventure plot

yes perhaps Finn Family. That is exciting but fairly light really isn't it? I will reread quickly before we try it

Tatties · 11/07/2008 22:45

Hey Franny you're up late

UnderRated · 12/07/2008 01:30

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:21

LOL Pink

very cool here this morning but not raining, a really nice change
if not had baby later am going to get dp to take me out for nice lunch or dinner
can anyone else think of nice treats that enormous women who can't walk much can enjoy
because it is stumping me
I worry slightly about going out to eat as I may get in the door but not out again, a la Winnie the Pooh

Tatties · 12/07/2008 09:23

Yes not raining here either hooray!

Going out for a nice meal sounds good

pinkspottywellies · 12/07/2008 09:24

Lol Franny! Lovely picture of your arse halfway through the door!

Right we're off to MILs to see the horses. Should keep dd quiet occupied for a bit while I read the paper then this afternoon we're going to the school fete!

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:33

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 09:41

Franny, we had a lovely play dough ("toy dough") session last night
First, ds1 and dd2 had a restaurant and made all manner of foodstuffs. Dd2 specialises in birthday cakes.
Then ds2 joined in and all of a sudden he and dd2 were making play dough nappies and bumprints
Then it took me ages to pack it away because I it was so relaxing squidging it about

Ummm.... do you have a spa anywhere near you that does nice treatments for mothers to be?

are you managing to sleep Franny?
At this stage I had to sleep bolt upright because of awful heartburn & leapt up & down all night with restless legs.

I spent a lot of time waddling around NT properties, eating cream teas, having refexology & shopping.

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 09:49

Go to M&S. I hear they are quite generous to people who give birth there
And if the hideous hotness and dizzymaking mirrors don't send you into labour I don't know what will.

LullyOfShallot · 12/07/2008 09:51

God I used to love making soup.
Grandma made me a little kitchen garden at the very top of her garden in the woody bit.It had an old hob, butler sink & cupboard & lots of old enamel pots & pans & I would spend hours making petal & berry concoctions.

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:52

Oh TooT ds likes making playdough sushi because he is such a huge ponce
we have loads of plastic play cutters but favourites are usually the pizza wheel and a veg knife, oh and potato masher

Lully there are, and I was booking something every week at one point, but I got fed up with people poking me about tbh
and went for a pedicure and realised it is really not comfortable when you have spd and it is such a pain to have to keep explaining why you can only lift one leg at a time, etc
so I stopped

what I would really like is to go and lie in a jacuzzi thing but a) have no swimming costume and b) you aren't allowed anyway

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 09:52

Lully, your grandmother never fails to delight me

OP posts:
LullyOfShallot · 12/07/2008 09:52

Shop staff used to quake with fear when I waddled in two weeks overdue.I was vast..the dry cleaning lady wouldn't even let me in & used to pass stuff out to me

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:53

am sleeping better last 2 nights
was at stage of having to get up TWICE every night for a wee
was not funny
bit better now for some reason

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 09:53

Does ds not fart like my boys? Copiously and with pride? Share a bath with him?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:54

"why you CAN'T only lift one leg at a time"

TooTicky · 12/07/2008 09:54

Only twice per night? Blimey, that's not bad. And our loo is as far from the bedroom as it is possible to be.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:55

no ds' farts are terrifying and abominable
and I would not fit a mouse in the bath with me atm, I plug it like a dam

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:55

oh TooT oh dear
our toilet is quite near
