For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Juno or Little Miss Sunshine. I haven't seen the third one but those two are really good.

I watched O' Brother Where art Thou yesterday and that was quite good. George Clooney and 19040s Southern Folk Music.

Enjoy

berolina · 11/07/2008 19:59

I'd choose Etre et Avoir littlerach, have never seen it and it sounds really interesting. It is that documentary about the school, isn't it?

Agree with the others re not moving, UR.

Signed contract at LK2 with very nice and efficient parent committee woman. It really is a lovely place, in just the sort of area I want to live in (if I were choosing within Berlin).

UnderRated · 11/07/2008 20:04

Oh crikey, I've been researching - the apartment I was offered is $100 less per month than others in the neighbourhood (because it is rent controlled) so, if I don't take it, I won't be able to afford any other 1 bed. And the space would be good... Argh. I had decided to stay put. I shouldn't Google.

Glad LK2 is all sorted, Bero. Am intrigued by that film. WIll look for it later.

littlerach · 11/07/2008 20:17

Yes, Berolina, it is the one baout the school.

Dh still upstairs so haven't decided.

he hates th eJuno soundtrcak with a passion, so not sure I oculd convince him ot watch it.

LullyOfShallot · 11/07/2008 20:17

A castle ....I wish
No,we have a portion of a a very large house. It is lovely, huge rooms, high ceilings, light & airy & lots of features but not having a garden, the stairs & bothersome people below are a bit of an issue now.

LullyOfShallot · 11/07/2008 20:18

Oh golly UR
but the other sounds miserable really

LullyOfShallot · 11/07/2008 20:20

I havn't seen a film for ages, apart from taking one of my god children to see Prince Caspian last week.I really miss the cinema.

UnderRated · 11/07/2008 20:21

My old flat was like yours Lully, I loved it but the neighbours and stairs were a problem. Then they chopped all the tree down

Will ponder flats this afternoon and see if I can get BF to look at other one tomorrow for a second opinion. But you are right, better to be cramped than miserable.

pinkspottywellies · 11/07/2008 20:30

I love the sound of your turret Lully

I love Juno and I heart the soundtrack. I've listened to it nearly every day since I got it!

I'm having chinese takeaway for dinner. It's got a bit of onion, pepper and pineapple in the sweet and sour sauce.

Guadalupe · 11/07/2008 20:35

little rach, you must watch Juno because I am and then we can talk about it!

I think ds2 has slapped cheek. He woke up this afternoon with flaming red cheeks and it hasn't gone down, also there is a rash on the trunk but it's not that lacey so I'm not sure. He has been out of sorts the last few days though. At least he isn't climbing out of his cot, poor thing practically asked to go to bed and he had a three hour nap today.

Boco · 11/07/2008 20:37

I still haven't seen Juno and would like to.

dd2 just called me 'blasted mummy'
I told her that was very rude, and she said 'but, that's what you call Stella (the cat)'

Guadalupe · 11/07/2008 20:39

I thought you said bastard mummy at first

TooTicky · 11/07/2008 20:59

UR, I would still be inclined to stay where you are.

Lully, I love everything about the cat show. You are such a lovely mummy

Can't remember what else I was going to say.

Cabbage, peas and carrot, all from garden

ok, I think you are all right. Stay put.

DS and his friend are playing House. I asked if they'd make me a cup of tea but Friend said, "No, you can have Soda. Here, Catch!" so now they are both shouting, "Catch the Soda, UnderRated"

Tatties · 11/07/2008 21:07

Good evening lovelies

Lully your ds is a darling

Hampton Court Flower Show on

Tatties · 11/07/2008 21:09

UR I think atmosphere and light are really important in a home... more space alone might not be enough

womblingalong · 11/07/2008 21:28

hello veggers,

back briefly, just checking in to Franwatch. Obv no news yet. Have been on hols in a beautiful cottage in Dorset it was lovely, but the bastard weather,it rained every day. We got flooded out of the Moors Valley park on Monday!

We are now at a wedding in Essex, and I was desperate to get any news.

UR i am afraid I would stick with where you are. Any news on your situation, can you stay?

TooTicky · 11/07/2008 21:30

Oh Franny, moomins. Finn Family Moomintroll is a very good one. Moominsummer Madness? Moominland Midwinter is wonderful but best read in the winter.
I ALWAYS read Moominvalley in November in the Autumn but that isn't such a child-friendly one. Beautiful though.
Moominpappa at sea is an inbetweeny one.
The Exploits of Moominpappa is okay but I personally find it more bitty, less cohesive than the others.
Not that I'm obsessed in any way. Oh no.
