For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:07

you what TooT? you do more in one week than most people do in a month IMO
are you feeling all low and down on yourself because you are tired and have had to do this nasty looking after ill people thing? I bet you're worn out

Oh that sounds fun franny
I'm thinking of getting a fire pit for the terrace
Ds would love it I'm sure

My grandmother used to let me cook on a little fire under my bay tree house in her garden.I was a v popular play date with the boys

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:08

Lully do do, they are so fun
it is such a lovely exciting thing to do - we had millions of bonfires when I was a kid (mother mild pyro I think) and it was so nice
and nobody hardly has a real fire these days (well we don't)

Boring???
That is not a word I would associate with you Toot

ds has drawn all over two of the cream seat covers of the dining chairs He was very upset when I was cross & said he had drawn pink peonies on them to cheer me up
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
How would you guys react?
I have thanked him for the thought but explained that the cupboard full of art stuff is for drawing on/with...NOTHING else.

LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 18:13

I have been looking on ebay

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:14

My grandmother has rented ds a cherry tree for a year for his
birthday present
We get to pick the cherries ourselves at peak time

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:14

oh Amazon I think
I will see if I can find it

OP posts:
LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 18:15

Was I wrong to be cross?

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:15

ds would be so ecstatic with that present

You have done the right thing lully. If he does it again, then there might be a problem....
Ds1 went through a phase of writing POO on everything. I #ncluding dd1's homework. It passed.

Yes, I am tired. I have been bf almost constantly for 2 days, have had 2 broken nights and not eating enough really./ Fingers crosed she really is on the mend now!!

LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 18:17

shall I find a link to the site for you?
The chap has orchards in several locations.
I think it was £30

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:17

well no I don't think so
(when i said I would react differently I meant I would have been REALLY cross and not so gracious)
I mean if you trash someone's stuff, they get cross, even if you didn't mean to
it wouldn't be fair to be cross with a baby but an older child can begin to understand this IMO
and then you were very kind and explained the mistake and that was the end of it

OP posts:
TooTicky · 06/07/2008 18:19

No, crossness is logical. He will take this on board.

at cherry tree! I have been wanting a cherry tree but people keep telling me there is no point because the birds eat them all.

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:19

oh dear they aren't selling it now

this is the one
I bet someone else has it for sale, it is a very nice one

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:20

is this possible
I feel rather odd

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:21

LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 18:24

Ah thanks Franny
That one looks fab

TooT..cant you cover the tree with net
My grandmother used to & the plum tree
God those plums were good

TooTicky · 06/07/2008 18:24

Perhaps the next stage is to find him somewhere v. special to draw them.

TooTicky · 06/07/2008 18:25

Maybe. Wonder how much cherry trees cost.....

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 18:25
