For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

blimey ds still doesn't get the egg business
he thinks he hatched

LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 21:36

I'm grinning a lot tonight

FrayedKnot · 06/07/2008 21:42

Have emitted silent snort at bedtime ritual of pretending to be sperm and egg

Luckily we are still on two stories, a lullaby and a silly game where DS puts his foot down the side of the bed and then takes it out quickly so I miss it each time I get on all fours to look under the bed to see if his foot is there

ooh help we need another fresh shiny title for tomorrow really
we haven't talked much though
I did notice the absence of MrsC and Boco in particular

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2008 21:53

avi a hermit crab sounds slightly more testing than an egg
I just lie there and be wriggled at - it's not very demanding

OP posts:
LullyOfShallot · 06/07/2008 21:56

Where is Boco?

Lol at all our weirdy bedtime routines

bath/five stories/poem/songs/snuggles & music box on leaving the room

FrayedKnot · 06/07/2008 21:59

Sperm and egg or hermit crab sounds easier than getting up and down on all fours twenty times before I can leave the room

New titles.....will ponder

Tatties · 06/07/2008 21:59

Evening all. My ds just keeps getting me to read more stories at bedtime, and he doesn't want to go to sleep until he's read a 'night' one

No, Franny, hoenstly, sperm and egg has a definite ending (one would assume), the foot game doesn;t.

It just goes on and on

My family are camping in Stiffkey

I had a lovely 4th of July with highly processed American crap delicious homemeade food and far too many fireworks. Was nice to meet BF's family but I sort-of punched him and they all saw .

Sorry for all health & weight issues. My shorts kept falling down today and BF said he thinks I might need to eat meat to fatten me up Do any of you non-meateaters get questioned about your protein intake. People seem quite convinced I can't be healthy but I eat far too much plenty of cheese, soy milk, beans etc. That's enough, surely?

Pebble painting for classmates is a lovely idea.

Lully, my DS drew a toilet on my dining room table and seemed surprised that I was not thrilled. However, when I realised that, in the grand scheme of things, it didn't really matter, it got easier. Now, when I see it, I smile a bit as well as feeling rather cross but DS is always so proud of it. We frequently have discussions about only drawing on paper.

Toot, we have a lot of banana cake too

I don't think putting sunscreen on DC is at all paranoid. I do it all the time. And worry about it.
Grapes
banana
apple
raspberries (2) from the garden
Lettuce from the garden
a few peas from the garden

FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2008 08:40

wahoo at from the garden
and all other news UR

FK I meant I liked hearing about it. I have no desire to play it. We haven't any beds that you can look under, anyway.

Forgot to add 2 nectarines last night.

2 more this morning, raisins, apple, pear, = 4

it's raining

we need a title
