For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh dear Tiger, hope you're ok, how worrying.

Franny, come on now, look on the bright side - from the back you don't even look pregnant! Not long now. You're a strong beautiful woman.

Don't hurt me.

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2008 16:11

LOL

Morning all

DS has been lovely all morning. He even left the park without even the tiniest complaint. I did have to call him 'Puppy
and walk him home on a lead (piece of ribbon) but it was lovely. About time too. I doubt it'll last but it was so nice.

Glad you don't have gallstones, TF. Must be very frustrating not knowing what the problem is. Could it be a bad case of IBS? The symtoms sound similar.

I don't think I've ever had a loganberry

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 17:43

Oh, TF, I see IBS has already been discussed. I know people who have it very badly and it is cripling. My Dad used to be double over in pain.

LOL @ Franny

My friend is due on Saturday and another friend said to her, "I saw this Huuuuge pregnanct woman walking down the street last week and I was like, Wow, she's huuuuuge' then I realised it was you..." My friend was not thrilled

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2008 18:12

dinner: stir fried onions, mushrooms, carrots and something which we think was chard
sweetcorn
new pots
nut and rice roast

for lunch went to gallery cafe and ordered the gorgeous cheese tart which I had last week and had to give to ds because he ordered something he hates
this week it was SHITE
all rubbery
anyway had coleslaw and nice leafy salad on the side

4 people phoning 'to see how I am'
I am being a grumpy old mare aren't I

I want to scream.
May I scream?

Thank you.

As you were.

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 18:22

Why are you yelling Toot?

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2008 18:23

oh TooT
you screamed

what's up?

OP posts:
UnderRated · 03/07/2008 18:25

Are any of you geeky enough to help me with a music on the computer problem?

FrayedKnot · 03/07/2008 18:50

Evening divine veggers

I have been itching to log in all day in a clucky way

I will not be able to log on tomorrow until at least this time but I will think vivid thoughts about Windy Miller if you want, Franny.

Tiger I had suspected gallstones when I was pg but afterwards they could find no sign of any. Yet I had been in real pain and quite poorly. I know this is a TMI question especially aorund supper time but do you mind me asking if your poo is a funny colour when you ahve these bouts of pain?

If not gallstones could it be a worsening food intolerance? I used to eat bananas by the truck load but suddenly realized about a year ago that they were the cause of the tummy aches I kept getting.

have you thought about eliminating some things from your diet to see if things calm down a bit?

FrayedKnot · 03/07/2008 18:51

TooT

come back, what's up?

I think I meant to say know not know

LullyOfShallot · 03/07/2008 19:17

hullo lovely ones
what's the matter Toot?

Poor Franny,I do feel for you
Is ds any better?

I have got to the bottom of the party bag problem.....

silly woman had decided to try for the school ds has now got a place at.
(I did not know this though, all the children in the class seemed to be going to the private school in the village locally)
She was refused a place, like us
appealed,like us
but didn't win appeal
& we did

hence hating ds & being huffy with me
silly old moo

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 19:20

Lully, is that it? Really? She was cross because you got something she wanted to she was mean to your DS? That sounds like something you might expect a 5 yr old to do but not a grown woman. Of course she'd be annoyed but what a silly way to deal with it. Am glad you got to the bottom of it. Strange woman. Her not you.

Toot, you can't come in, scream and then disappear. Are you ok?

LullyOfShallot · 03/07/2008 19:23

Well....some busy body mentioned my medical problems to her when she was running us down & now she presumes we have the place on medical grounds & thinks that is grossly unfair
or something...

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 19:24

She was cross because you got something she wanted so she was mean to your DS?

LullyOfShallot · 03/07/2008 19:25

she was told by the school that no mplaces were offered, that none were available & the heard that ds had got in.

awful reason to exclude ds though

her ds is the first child on ds's invite list

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 19:27

Oh, how silly, Lully.

LullyOfShallot · 03/07/2008 19:37

I know
am fuming actually, unlike me to get so cross but It was so awful for ds

UnderRated · 03/07/2008 19:39

She's ridiculous, Lully. Poor DS. And her son - what is she teaching him? I'm glad you can rise above it. I'd be fuming too.

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2008 19:47

oh fgs Lully
what a silly woman
I am glad you got to the bottom of it, for your peace of mind, but REALLY

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 03/07/2008 19:51

Lully

How totally ridiculous. Poor old DS.

Glad you got to the bottom of it though in a way...at least you know it's not personal iyswim.

Boco · 03/07/2008 20:04

Well Lully she has shown herself up as being ridiculous adn petty minded for everyone to see.

Cat is better! Getting better, had antibiotics and has perked right up, phew. She still can't miaow, but that's not too bad as she's very noisy.

dd1 had little boy to dinner - was very sweet, I asked him if his dinner was ok and he said 'exquisite!' My children were crazy little monkeys in comparison.

grapes, strawberries, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, raisins, cucumber - it felt like more...

LullyOfShallot · 03/07/2008 20:07

ooooooooh Boco
what did you give them?

Boco · 03/07/2008 20:12

Sausage and mash!
