For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We have the new car
I haven't driven it yet.
It has seven seats which will be incredibly useful.
And tinted windows. The dcs are over the moon about this.

Pizza.

Tatties · 24/06/2008 23:02

New car sounds exciting TooT! I had pizza for dinner today

Right I also really must go to bed now. It's not an early night now is it? I just can't do it, no matter how hard I try... Same as trying to get anywhere on time. I must have some fannying around gene or something which prevents me from being able to do these things

TooTicky · 24/06/2008 23:05

dp's mum bought it for us

I have that inability to get anywhere on time too!!! It's a form of procrastination I think....

ojk, have up to now ignored all kiki posts as scary green stuff but I am feeling persuaded - is it easy to get hold of in heathfood shops? And how much is it? I am feeling a bit run down due to long period of stress...

Last night's chinese buffet outing was great success - ds1 discovered crispy seaweed with a vengeance. Please tell me some nutirnets remain after they have crisped it???

filthymindedbolshevixen · 25/06/2008 08:27

hoorah at new car Toots!

Bongo still not in our possession as dvla are being sluggish

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2008 08:41

I think that seaweed is cabbage, is that right? it's very nice

FMF kiki is in independent health shops IME, or on the interweb
it is ruddy expensive, sorry
£30 for what they call a month's supply, but IME that lasts longer for me
they recently did week bottles for about £8 in my local shop, also
again I think they would last you longer - maybe 2 weeks
it seems like a shocking amount but for the difference it makes to my wellbeing it is SO worth it

I was thinking about it though, it might only make a dramatic difference if you are lacking the stuff it has in it
maybe I was missing some stuff to begin with

Hello veggers

Feeling fairly shitty today tbh - gall bladder (if that's what the problem is) playing up . I was off work yesterday and this morning ddd was at the eye clinic so had the mornign off anyway - now I have until 12 to decide whether I'm going in this afternoon or not. Depends if the cramping settles down.

I got my Kiki online - from here. A bottle lasts much longer than a month ime too.

I am going to get some spatone today. I am sleeping well (I think) but am still knackered.

Me me me self self self whinge whinge whinge. I am soooo crap at being ill. I seem to be ill a lot too, with one thing or another.

Since vegging and kiki-ing though I have noticed that I don't get so many everyday bugs, colds and the like. Tis all good

Boco · 25/06/2008 10:59

Franny you are a very convincing kiki pusher, stopit, £30 is loads! Wellbeing is tooooo expensive. Is there a cheap version of wellbeing?

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2008 12:28

yes, sorry Boco
I thought at the time I first got it "this is impossible" and then I thought how ill I had been and how dp kept having to take days off work and how I was tired all the time and and and

and actually £30 seemed ruddy cheap if it worked, and it did

but I am sure you can get discount wellbeing, you could just eat some oranges or something - it would probably help

FrannyandZooey · 25/06/2008 12:29

Tiger I really hope you feel better soon
the gallbladder thing sounds so rotten

TooTicky · 25/06/2008 12:33

Boco, just gather random green things, dry them and crumble them into your breakfast. Pond algae and nettles and things.

I have just driven the new car. It feels very wide. And different.

Have bought a 2nd hand Puky tricycle for dd2's birthday. Am v. v. pleased because it has real tyres and is a decent size. With an all-important handle for the hills.

TooTicky · 25/06/2008 12:34

Oh Franny, that code youi gave me for Vertbaudet - do you think it will still be valid? I can buy dd2's knickers this week.
