Dh is now very poorly. He is very thin, has no appetite, sleeps most of the day and is up most of the night.

The Macmillan nurse visited today and has told him to stay in bed, and he will have a bed in the hospice on Wednesday.

I don't know if this is 'it'. but he is getting very ill very quickly. At least he got to do his balloon ride yesterday, and got the formal news of his MBE a little while ago.

We have been lucky to have the extra time that we have had, and we have built some fine memories, but this is very hard. He is such a good man and doesn't deserve this. I don't know if I can post updates, I may well just use MN as a distraction.

MB

You poor darling girl,we are all here for you.

It is strange, we all knew there would be an end to this journey and also Steves, and yet I am sitting here so very very sad and kind of shocked.

Lady Topham Hatt summed it up, your love and respect for each other leaps off the screen and I hope that in your darkest hours that knowledge will sustain you.

Much love

LGJ
